https://cdnmetv.metv.com/0wDvG-1604703658-3261-blog-adam12_emergency_crossover.jpg That's not the only Adam-12 / Emergency crossover. The two actors from Adam-12, Martin Milner and Kent McCord, appear in an Emergency episode as their Adam-12 characters, Officers Pete Malloy and Jim Reed, respectively. In a later episode of Emergency, Johnny Gage spends most of the shift distraught because they were called out to a rescue in the midst of an episode of the TV show Adam-12. So, the Adam-12 characters exist in the Emergency universe as both LAPD cops and fictional cops on TV.
