Seriously folks. There is nothing scary in the plans. We are still here and focused on things we have been working on and now get to expand and grow with new resources. Unfortunately you are stuck with me and the staff for a while longer. You are also stuck with this site how it is (no major rewrite coming for now) for a while longer. Although I do want to continue to improve things as we always have. (Ok so some change is coming, but all from me so you can continue to focus the hate on my update threads!)

My only comment to add is I truly hope the Brownells can leverage the following to do some good that was not possible via the NRA.

We have 497,297 registered members, 345,633 are active accounts.

There are a number of interesting political and commercial possibilities raised with this. One example could be an expansion of file hosting, possibly video content that YouTube is demonetizing and blocking.

GB, see if we unwashed members can get in on some options, RSUs, or something before an eventual IPO. Maybe a progressive allocation based on a metric of join date +/- post count.

I don't think final authority is the right way to look at it, but definitely a big voice on any major changes or decisions. The best way to look at it is that we are going to be working together as a team.

There will always be fear of the unknown, but we are extremely excited about this opportunity and definitely not scared for the site's future.

Add money to a forum of nearly half a million members tending to be more supportive of the 2A than the NRA. Some of those members are already very involved in legal & political advocacy. This could help support Nolo’s work, for example.

My question would be whether we see a new advocacy organization vs supporting something existing like the SAF or NSSF.
