Iced Tea - Sweet or Straight?
Neither. I prefer my iced tea Diet Coke. |
|
One cup sugar to a gallon of fresh brewed tea. Must be dissolved in tea while hot. Pour over a glass of ice and laugh at the Yankee sissies who drink it unsweetened.

Oh fucking christ "sweet" tea tastes like nasty assholes except assholes taste better. I've tasted fucking assholes and assholes taste better than sweet fucking tea. Pour that shit out! i don't think you're helping the straight tea cause with that one, man. |

You need the chemical reaction of the water and boiling water for proper sweet tea. It is Science |
|
Yeah, that isn't something I would admit to

Southern style sweet tea. The unsweetened tea that Northerners seem to prefer isn't worth drinking.

Southern sweet tea is a putrid, vile beverage. No wonder you guys are all 500 lbs Generalize much? By your account I'd make 3.06 southerners. Let me ask a question. If northerners don't drink sweet tea why does a "regular" coffee come with cream and sugar? That never made sense to me. Regular coffee comes black, no cream, no sugar. |
|
Sweetened, but not with sugar.
The Doc says that I don't have enough blood in my sugar so I use those nasty carcinogenic chemicals to sweeten mine. |
|
Sweet tea is the only tea.
That other stuff is just brown water. |

Do you ruin your frosty glass of refreshing iced tea with sugar? poll. go. Nope. Straight. |

I like it best just slightly sweet but will drink it anyway long as its cold and we go through about a gallon a day in summer

First, I like to dangle my worm out there, wiggle it around a little bit....and that usually gets them pretty excited. Then you just set back and enjoy. Hope that helps. |

Sun tea. Three ingredients. Sun, Tea leaves, Water. The perfect trifecta. Only made sweeter by my lovin' care. Lemon wedge. |

Poll fail. Sweetened tea is just plain tea with some sugar added. Sweet tea is delicious ambrosia. look, if someone said the same about beans in chili you'd go apeshit. it's the same with tea. it doesn't matter how it gets in there - it's still ruining the final product. Fuck the bean slurpers and fuck sugar added to cold tea. You must have suffered some brain damage during your accident: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/RichP1269/1289497437_squirrel-jump-fail_zps905ca2c5.gif |

Simple syrup mixes better than sugar. If you mix in the sugar while the tea is hot, the sugar will melt better. |

Sweet tea is why I moved to the South. Oh, and guns. Sweet tea and guns.

I have no idea what kind of dipwad drinks unsweetened tea, or why.
In Arkansas they usually don't even bother putting it on the menu. |

Also sweet tea has to have the sugar added when it is still hot. |

Not at all. I don't lemon my drink unless I'm making an AP. Will I drink tea with sugar or lemon? I can if that's all that's available. But I make 2 gallons at a time of my sun tea. Bliss. |
|
Straight with lemon.
Southern sweet tea is nothing but flavored liquid sugar. Be easier to just drink a cup of sugar with a couple tea spoons of water. |
