I spent ~7 years at LAX as a GSE mechanic for both TWA and FedEx. Oh the stories both good and bad. The upside to the GSE side of things was I had the ID that let you go pretty much anywhere you wanted and you normally had a shop truck to drive. |

These images had a huge impact. Vietnam, the space race etc all directly affected my family. My Mom’s brother was killed in Vietnam. So when I watched Toy Story with my son 20 years ago it was a different movie experience for me than for a little toddler growing up. I tried to take my son to a NASA exhibit but like skiing he didn’t have the same enthusiasm and I took him to the Marr Island naval yard and 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge but none of that excited him.

they leave the grass longer on purpose  you can stand on the same line with the same gun emplacements and same opposing treeline and imagine men pouring out of the woods  prob one of the realest non TS pictures ive taken  |
