Celery, green pepper, onions. Chopped and tossed with olive oil, S&P.  Roasted in the oven for a bit. Added cut up bread and roasted a bit longer with sage, thyme, rosemary, and parsley.

Heated some chicken broth and put mushrooms and garlic in it. After 30 minutes or so I put the mushrooms and most of the broth on the bread and vegetables, roasted again for 15 minutes.

Turned out damn decent.

You're probably not going to be able to just clone the old drive onto the new one.

Your best bet is to install the new drive and do a fresh OS install. You can use a USB-SATA adapter (about $10 on amazon) to connect the old drive to transfer data off. Or just copy it onto a flash drive.

Usually the drives will have some software you can download to clone the drive.  I've used it on 3 different systems that had good OS installs already, and they worked well.  One was Acronis, one was Samsung's own software, I forget the other.

I assume you're using a flavor of windows. You only have a certain number of activations unless you're using the corporate edition - it might work, or it might not.

dunno why you would think that. I'm a vehement anti-ms, anti-google, anti-fb person.

Apple has a pretty decent privacy policy (yes I've read it), very little telemetry, quality hardware and software.

And as much as I hate the naming, the folks and the "genius bar" know the hell out of their product. It's very rare for me to need tech support, but the few times I've needed to talk to them they've been shockingly knowledgeable.
