Absolutely. CFA is some of the most overrated fast food out there. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

I can order my meal from a stoplight, pull into CFA app parking spot and have it correctly and completely delivered to my vehicle by a smiling young person in three minutes.

Man, I think I'll stop by tomorrow, see if my local Popeye's has them. I love their spicy fried chicken!

I would have expected you to catch the subtle satire of my post, mocking those who say that all Popeye's have crap food and even worse service. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Chik-Fil-A sucks. And the servers are smarmy, with a stink of moral superiority. All of them. At every location. It is hard to catch sarcasm when trying to hit so many threads. Sorry. |

lol Are you serious? CFA is almost an experience. Clean, polite people serving yummy (albeit pricey) food in a clean environment. Popeye’s will never be able to compete with that. You honestly think that the CFA faithful will abandon their brand for another chain’s quasi tasty sandwich? View Quote |

I don’t eat hate chicken because it’s good, I eat it because it’s hate chicken

At least in this part of the world very big demographic difference in people who work there and eat there comparing the two. Very big.

I have never tried CFA and there's one a 1/4 mile away from me. What do you guys recommend for my first order?

No deluxe for me, just some mayo on the top bun and an occasional dip in the CFA sauce is all I need to achieve nirvana.

I love their chicken, but the only stores in my area are in the ghetto.

If the two hate chicken stores I have bought food in are any indication they are grossly overrated. It's OK but to be honest I'd rather have a Popeye's shrimp Po'-Boy.....But therein lies the problem.
The menu at all Popeye's are not the same. Some carry the shrimp Po'-Boy, some don't, and even the sides can be different. Their chicken is better than most and I really like their "hockey puck" biscuits. I never cared for "fluffy" cat-head biscuits all that much. They taste too much like baking powder and fall apart on top of it. Hardees makes about the best biscuits, but hell, they are always covered in sausage gravy. They opened a Royal Farms in my AO and I was looking forward to their much ballyhooed fried chicken.....Blah, it was just a greasy mess. LOL....It reminded me of one of my grandmother's chicken, that poor woman never could fry chicken worth a shit. |

The Popeye's near us is pretty decent. The workers are polite and the food is decent, if a little pricy. CFA is better but farther away so we hit Popeye's more often. I might try the sandwich next time there.

It's pretty well accepted, even reading the posts here, that CFA is a bit overrated and Popeyes likely has as good (possibly better) chicken. Point is, CFA is #1 because their service and experience is fantastic and food is better than average. Almost every fast food restaurant is full of teens that don't care, tie-dyed hair androgynous inky millennials, or whatever... people are sick of it.

I'm at popeyes tight now, this is not on the menu.
Thread disappoints me. |

I went to Popeyes thinking that they wouldn't have it because our popeyes aren't on the ball all the time. It flashed up on the menu so I walked up and ordered it. I was told they can't sell it because they didn't get some equipment needed for it. What the hell kind of equipment do you need for a sandwich.

I like Popeye's better than CFA.
I find CFA's food to be horribly bland, and unsatisfying. |

Was driving by and ordered one, know it was fresh because they had to cook it. I thought it was good, especially if you like Popeye's chicken. Firm and juicy.

The Popeyes here has good food but the staff/service has went straight into the shitter. The only time I go there anymore is when my mother calls and wants me to go pick her up something.
I have never had a CFA employee treat me with outright contempt. They are always polite and friendly. The food is good, but the service sells the place. |

There is no way I see all the cute soccer moms switch from their "You're a VIP at Chik-Fil-A" service to go have some smug ghetto asshole possibly spit in her food at Popeye's.
That said I like Popeye's and will likely try the sandwich next time. I don't feel anything about the actual food is particularly all that good at hate chicken but the service/quality of employees more than makes up for it. |
|
The only chicken joint worse than Popeye's around here is KFC.
CFA, Chicken Express, Cain's, Bush's, and Church's are all WAY better. |
|
CFA Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Popeyes Cajun mash potatoes and gravy.
|
|
If it's like the rest of their chicken, it'll be dry and taste exclusively of pepper. I've tried their chicken in the past, and there's no subtlety in the taste, no combination of flavors. May as well be a chunk of pine with pepper breading.
I'll stick with the Chik. |

If it was good it wouldn't need anything more than a pickle slice...

Bonchon is the current tier 1 fast food fried chicken. View Quote But they don't appear to be fast food at all. The menu I found says please allow 30 minutes for cooking. |
