The Colt letter says that this one was shipped to Gretna Gun Works, in Gretna, LA in 1964.

Yep-and never send it to Ruger for service. They'll refuse to send it back and replace it with a different caliber of your choice. ETA-beat. I want another Max barrel for my Contender. Fun round.
