I would if I could (spend the money).

I have three Pythons, they're just six inch models. The new King Cobra is an improved version of the D-Frame SF-VI and Carry Magnum.

You can read my article about it here.

I've sold a few guns I regret, thankfully I've never made as dumb a decision to let this one go. It's a favorite for sure. Only thing I don't like is the ported barrel, otherwise is the perfect hand cannon.
yeah, they are definetly rare. Mines the only one Ive seen in the wild. Probably a run of 2500 or so.

The upward fireball and occasional debris. It's my only gun with a ported barrel. Ported barrels are just not my thing, besides with the weight on the barrel this gun has, I really don't think it's necessary. I've shot some stout loads thru my other 44s including lighter, shorter barrel, single actions without porting and it's not unmanageable.

Not the best picture but I’m too lazy to get it out of the safe to take another. Dan Wesson model 14 I picked up awhile back. Installed the spring upgrade kit and it shoots decent.

The Colt letter says that this one was shipped to Gretna Gun Works, in Gretna, LA in 1964.
Gretna Gun Works was located less than a mile from the Southern Pacific railroad yard,
where the Railroad Police had their office.

The revolver is a post-war (1947) K-22 with a one-line address that I inherited from my grandpa.

Yes, it was the silhouette guys slinging 125gr bullets at beyond max loads out to 200y rams that were having the issue after thousands of rounds so Ruger got scared and pulled them. If you send one in for repair now they won't return it to you. Regular loads with 158gr bullets as God intended and you'll never have a problem. Posted a pic earlier of my 2 maxi's.

Yep-and never send it to Ruger for service. They'll refuse to send it back and replace it with a different caliber of your choice.

ETA-beat. I want another Max barrel for my Contender. Fun round. I shot 180 and 200s with mine.
