I've a suspicion that the other metal he made the damascus from was a bit better material. Guy saved a piece of steel from the dumpster. Instead of coming back from China as a Buick Jesse James made something very cool. He is a truly stand up guy. Fred Durst was at the height of his popularity and tried to chrash the line for a West Coast Choppers bike. Jesse had his Secretary explain to Fred that Jesse doesn't build bikes for assholes. As the the Sandra Bullock thing. Meh, he moved on. She plays a sweetheart on tv. Don't know her in real life, but it makes me wonder. View Quote |

Alec Steele a YouTube blacksmith that makes beautiful Damascus often fails. The beauty of Damascus is that a soft iron is welded and mixed with a hard steel do you have the toughness of the HARD stuff but the give of the soft stuff. I doubt the railing on the torch was A53 pipe. I'd bet it was wrought iron like the armature inside the statue was. Wrought iron and a good modern steel would make for a tough but flexible Damascus. Yeah he has built bikes. He purchased one frame for his bike shop. After all the mods to make it "his" he realized that he may as well make the frame himself. Dude, you've never stopped to ask yourself why Sandra Bullock can't keep a man? She is hot and she has money but nobody will stay with her. She's either crazy, an insufferable cunt, or she never puts out. Likely a combination of all 3. I suspect Jennifer Aniston suffers from the same affliction. View Quote |

So what you're saying is that all bikers are pieces of human shit. Or, that marriage vows don't mean shit. Or, someone is stupid because they trust another person to be ethical. ETA: BTW Jesse James is the epitome of a sub-human, opportunistic, piece of shit. His latest marriage is to the Billionaire creator of "Patron Tequila", daughter. She's worth an est 100 million. James doesn't marry, or love for sake of love, he marries for the sake of financial security. That's a flawed person IMHO. View Quote |

I am not going to be jealous of someone with $85,000 to spend. Pretty cool conversation piece for someone wealthy. Reminds me of a guy I helped a buddy pick up a pool table from. Sussed us out, then showed us around his house. Ferrari in the garage, cool everything. Celebrity autographed pictures from charity golf events where he had to pay some pretty high coin to go there. MP5 with a full-auto group. He had spent ~$50,000 on the thing, and didn't shoot it. I had just met the guy. I left there thinking, "lucky guy." Not, "man I hate that guy..." The free market worked out for him. Good for him. The guy obviously had a significant amount of disposable income. The gun is a cool piece of history, and has a cool story. Liberals can worry about class warfare, and wealth jealousy. Good on whoever has the money to afford that gun. It is a work of art. View Quote |

He sure tap danced on his dick on that, and it shouldnt be forgotten. He lied, got caught, and doubled down hoping to still sell his products soley on his name to uninformed rubes. That was bad. IIRC he claimed db levels lower than the action cycling. No argument here. View Quote |

If he sells it, good for him. But where does he come up with his prices? Besides the damascus frame and slide, nothing else is that labor intensive or special. Maybe double the price of a WC supergrade?

The way I see it if it took him 500 hours to make it then he didn't know what the fuck he was doing and was learning as he went. JJ is the biggest tool in the firearms industry, because he just jumps from one thing to another, and charges everyone for the right to own his artwork. Yes, artwork, not really a gun. And I don't care if the metal came from the SoL or the 9-11 cross, it's bullshit and the fact that people pay for his garbage is proof that a fool is born every minute. View Quote |
