Didn't find anything on this. I admire Keltec donating to Ukraine, but I'd rather have an AK than a 9mm PCC when facing Russian troops. They should have instead purchased $200K of AK's and shipped them over.
This week, as Congress debated whether to send more advanced weapons and defense systems to Ukraine, workers at KelTec’s warehouse forklifted four plastic-wrapped pallets containing their 9 mm foldable rifles for delivery to an undisclosed NATO-run facility. From there, the shipment’s new recipient, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, will be responsible for smuggling the weapons into the war zone. https://www.foxnews.com/us/american-gun-companies-helping-ukrainians-fight-putin . |

My p32 has never bobbled. They should be sending those for hits.

This is not a Babylon Bee article?
It sounds like a Babylon Bee article... OK Hi-Point, you're up next. |

I'll go out on a limb and say... these are fabulous weapons for partisans 'behind the lines' of the Russian invasion.
They're small, they're effective... and if you get caught in your house with one, it's not a 'military issue' weapon. Think outside the box a little... don't give these to front line infantry, give them to that guy who's stayed behind at his house, calling in targets and intel. |
|
I guess they're better than nothing for handing out to civvies, but assuming most of the Russian troops are wearing body armor?
|
|
With a suppressor they’d be perfect for guerrilla fighters in an insurgency.

Fuck. I'd imagine it's scary enough. But to have to face the enemy with a sub2000. Eekkk.
They even make stuff in 5.56. |
|
My Sub2000 is literally the LAST gun in my inventory I would trust in a life or death situation. It's a great range toy and is mostly reliable but no way I would bet my life on it.

That’s like donating out of date cream of celery soup to the local food bank.

saddly ill bet they get disappeared into a underworld black hole.

I did firearms training for four years, rifle, pistol, shotgun. Guess how many keltecs showed up during that years? One, a ksg, that couldn't make it ten rounds.
Keltec = absolute garbage. |

just a guess bit they probably need the MP5s elsewhere . Also may have a lot of 9mm ammo and not enough guns. They probably have captured plenty 7.62 as of late and need something different
|
|
I have a G1 Sub2k and it is NOT something I'd want to test in a war zone. Better than a sharp stick though, I guess..
I wonder what prompted Kel Tec to send them? Maybe 9mm is a lot easier to get ahold of in Ukraine right now than 5.56? |

View Quote I didn’t think much of mine even as a range toy, but you’re right: this “carbine” makes even a poor old Sten gun look like a MP5. No way I’d want to go to war with that Keltec in any role whatsoever. |

I thought personal firearms don’t matter when fighting a tyrannical government—F-15s and Abrams tanks are what’s needed, according to the pro-gun controllers.

|
Think of the marketing angle. Own a Keltec, our guns went to war against the Russians. They will sell all they can make. Won’t matter if they work or not.

But he's gone radio silent so they decided to donate them. |

Those might be useful in an insurgency, easily hidden or concealed.

View Quote Send your gen 1 to them, pay $150 and they send you a gen 2 in whatever color, mag style/size with your gen 1 serial number on it. I felt the same way until I did what I explained above. The gen 2 has been phenomenal. The gen 1 I could fire around 75 shots and it would just fail to extract or fire. This gen 2 I'm on a little over 400 rounds without a single failure. I just added a light and the M.I. flip to side rail and put a little TRS25 on it to have some cheap fun. |

I have two of the Sub2ks.
One is on par reliability wise with any blowback PCC. But has flimsy as hell sights, etc. One was having multiple FTE, FTE, etc. It went back and had the chamber reamed and something else. And was reliable. Then the safety got stuck in the fire position and would not function. It went back and returned fully functioning. These are hit and miss reliability wise when you buy one. They will fix it I’d that is the case. It is perfectly suitable to keep behind the counter of your convenience store, play roof Korean, throw a mag in and let Hal abeoji keep for his home defense gun, or thrown under your seat as a mag compatible to your CC pistol companion. It is not remotely durable enough for a PCC match gun a couple of weekends a month, let alone combat duty. |

Decent choice for hand out guns for civilians. Throw them in backpacks.

View Quote It appears most of the Russians don't even have optics on their rifles. They may have body armor but I don't know if its the high quality stuff the army kept crying about needing new boolits for. |

so Kel Tec hates Ukraine, wants Russia to win. My experience with Kel Tec products and customer service tells me exactly that.
