I figure they've sent Jordan around to tell everyone 'Don't vote for me'. We'll try this a 3rd time and see what happens.
IMHO, this proves what a shitty Leader KM is. |

We squeaked out a majority this last election this is an abysmal start to things. |

Did they agree on terms, and then McCarthy came at the last minute with the proposed House rules, and it didn't reflect negotiations? There was never a deal. KM just thought they would fold. This morning, he told them he would punish them if they didn't support him. That worked out well. That alone should reflect why he shouldn't be speaker. if mccarthy wins, expect extra nothing to happen. The R's will fight with each other over who can personally benefit the most from swampy behavior and the democrats will continue to destroy the country. No hearings, no investigations, nothing.

Why do the Dems need to have a speech after each voting round? There isn't any contention on their side - they are all voting for Jeffries

I wonder if Jordan knew about Gaetz plan to nominate him? I think Jordan would easily be the most effective leader since Newt.
He is much further right than anyone in forever, and appears to be pretty effective. He carries much less baggage than the MTG, Gaetz, etc. I think he is absolutely the best we can hope for. |

If he does, more could continue to flip each round. Many are unwilling to vote for another candidate until they think that person can win. They aren't risking their commitee assignments. If Jordan loses votes, the others will eventually have to fall in line under McCarthy or they risk tanking the Republican controlled House. They have done a damn good job so far of challenging the RINOS. But, as much of a puke that McCarthy is, he is better than the alternative. |

One thing about the dems, is that they do stick together. Guess that's the difference between Hivemind vs independent mentality That's how I see it. Historically that's how the Left operates...unions, socialists, Democrats (guess I'm being redundant). They're totalitarians and this is how they eventually come to power. With the assistance of the corrupt and/or deep state Republicans. The Democrats and the establishment media & tech companies slipped up in 2016 by believing their own BS. They quickly learned a lesson. They will never let it happen again. Americans are losing their freedom and prosperity rapidly. |

Reps. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), Mary E. Miller (R-Ill.), Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) and Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) again voted for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
Jordan now has 16 votes and counting. Democrats, meanwhile, are prefacing their votes for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) with words like "unity" and "united." A House Republican who supports Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for speaker texted that the plan is to keep going until the California Republican is elected. "Both sides are dug in," the member wrote. "We haven't heard anything new from McCarthy so I guess we'll just keep doing this," Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) told The Washington Post after the third vote, predicting the number of votes against McCarthy will only grow. Asked if there's anything McCarthy could still do to win over her support, she said "We need the tools and the procedure and the leadership to be able to make fundamental change to fix our country and get it back on track." |
