What does he plan to do as speaker that’s different from the last person? I honestly have no idea.

So far, he’s having some difficulty getting the votes.  At least he’s not rubber stamped like Mitch.

Scalise. He showed his true colors when he refused to go wobbly after being shot up.

Then they need to play "Hit 'Em Up" for his entrance music every time he walks in. House of Representin'!

Considering the Democrats have the Senate and Presidency, all he can do is obstruct and control the budget.

He already capitulated on the omnibus bill with loads of garbage in it, and pre-emptively said that he won't allow impeachment hearings.  So now that that's out of the way...

He'll be a weak speaker, as he's having to build the most tenuous of coalitions with all wings of the party. Every Republican Rep will be able to pull a Manchin or Sinema whenever they want.

I agree with this although I think JJ would be better at the job. McCarthy will be “more of the same” which is not a winning platform.

Bobert, MTG and JJ are great for firing up their base, making soundbites and provoking Democrats. And every time a party takes over the leadership, they again realize that it's easy to take potshots at the leadership when you don't set the agenda and don't have to get anything done. It's much harder when you're actually in charge.

None of these 3 have any skills to actually lead a party.

If "leading" means losing with dignity, "our friends across the aisle", and "we'll get 'em next time", then I'm willing to consider different skillsets.

They can't have a winning platform. That would destroy the fake oppositional system in place.

So we have 5 conservatives that wont vote for Mccarthy.  If we had Jordan or any actual conservative as speaker, what are the chances they could keep the Republican cacus united and you wouldn't have 5 plus moderates refusing to support a conservative agenda?  Zero chance.  I don't have much hope for Mccarthy, but we don't have a winning hand either way.

He is articulate as a piece of Post Oak so no. He needs to go. Also, need the GOP to install Harmeet Dhillon as the head of the Republican Party at all costs. Down with Romney and his ilk. Rhona McDaniel Romney is garbage and led to our electoral demise this year. Fuck that. End it.

There's very little to admire about house dems, but their ability to rove in lock-step with minimal dissection is impressive.

McCarthy censured conservatives like MTG and stripped her committee assignments while doing nothing to turds like Kinzinger and Cheney.  We need a speaker that will do the exact opposite of that and drag the flaccid middle over to the right.

McCarthy has already compromised his gavel and basically given it to Pelosi since the "Ominous" Bill essentially funds all the Marxist-Democrat priorities. He's a RINO, he's not a fighter, he's a member of the status quo and he'll compromise conservatives right down the Marxist toilet.

If he doesn't allow aggressive committee chairs and the GOP majority capitulates on the next budget ceiling raising measure, he'll stamp his name in history and Pelosi's cuck toy. Sorry to say, we deserve what we get. Too many conservatives are apathetic, haven't had it hard enough, and would rather bitch than get involved (locally).

My fear is that we fucked up this last mid-term election. Some of that was poor candidates, but the vast majority was the backstabbing from the RNCC and the RINOs in power. Sure you can hate Trump and his choices, but make no fucking mistake: the elite RINOs in Congress do not want to give up their individual power plays due to a large majority of MAGA congress members. They would rather lose a large majority and keep a slim margin to help keep the Ponzi scheme going.

The fuck up now is that the GOP has a very slim margin, if they do make hard fiscal decisions they'll be blamed and it will motivate the Left. If they compromise, they open the door for more fuckery, blame, and fucking up the 2024 elections. Conservatives have weak, RINO leaders who mock America, suck Marxist dick, continue to line their pockets with taxpayer money, and fuck over any attempt at Americans taking back their country.

McCarthy is weak and we will all suffer.

I’d rather he not but it doesn’t seem like there is any serious opposition. Plus he’s already got trumps blessing so that doesn’t help.

McCuckle is a much larger issue. He’s in love with Biden and the dems. He’s the shittiest piece of shit in power, he’s actually worse than Biden imo.

McCarthy is pretty meaningless with McCuckle mcCuckling.

At this point, Republicans will vote to Keep Nancy as Speaker as that is how the Uniparty rolls.
