Quoted: Quoted: New landlords are pot dealers in town. Imagine this is politically motivated. No doubt Don’t worry; the liberty loving vanguards of personal freedom are no doubt organizing a boycott of the weed dispensary owned by the landlord, in protest of Rep. Boebert being forced to close her restaurant doors because there is an R next to her name. |

If just for the lady on the swing if nothing else. View Quote Ah man, I loved that place. We still have a pair of souvenir glasses that we got years ago on our last visit. |

Quoted: ... Often, the No. 1 reason is simply location.” To be honest Rifle is not a happening place… Aimless drove by it on the way to his new home, if he blinked then he missed it. I say this as someone who lived in a hotel for 6 months in Parachute just down the road. View Quote That's so true. Rifle is a small town in CO Western slope, I've been through there many times. Not so much going on for its economic base besides cattle ranching and a state correctional facility. |

Does the renter have to pay to remove everything?
Probably an obvious yes but it seems like easily a $10,000.00 bill clearing out a restaurant. Maybe more? |

I liked the business concept but the location sucked. Just a handful (10k) of locals and passing traffic on I-70. Location wasn't as much an issue b/c people from the surrounding area (e.g., Grand Junction) would go there to eat. Landlord didn't renew her lease - likely political reasons. |

It sounds like she had the option to buy the building. I don't know the market there, but in my town, most restaurant and brewery businesses would jump at the opportunity to purchase their building.

Quoted: Come to think of it, you’re right; I’ve never heard of a successful restaurant that sat on a major interstate. Must be a lack of steady supply of potential customers View Quote Except there’s essentially no reason to stop in rifle. Headed west the logical fuel up location is grand junction before the Utah nothingness. Headed east you’d push through to Denver or stop in eagle or vail. The restaurant was not sitting on the interstate either. You’d have to exit, and drive through small town streets to eventually get to it. It’s not simply sitting off the exit. Essentially it was just a somewhat gimmicky small town rural restaurant. |
