Technical advances are being made, but the drs, health care facility, and medical insurance are not being kept up to date on it. The insurance can't determine the difference between a hearing aid, a bone conduction implant - they try and get out of paying by calling it a hearing aid when it is a prosthesis, and a cochlear implant. Then they have a general ENT or a pediatric ENT read my information who has never heard of cholesteatoma before. And they finally did pus shrough the external review so I think the 3 kHz was in fact the reason it was denied. The person filing the paperwork at the hospital said that they have done everything they can for the approval, yeah cuz I caught it. Thanks for letting me do your job and insurances job. |
