That one had the Sante Fe trail (with both the mountain route and desert route) on it. Go slow as there are hard and soft spots and you want to avoid skippings. Bolino is more artistic and I should take that up again. That's the style where you use a needle and a series of pin pricks ot create the image. Much harder on the hands but more aesthically appealing. I picked up one of the books on horn making / scrimshaw. Just need to make a scratching tool and get after it. Mike Bellevue did a couple youtube videos on horn making as well. Once I get into it I might bug you on here for advice though |
