I have practiced dentistry in metro ATL GA for 20 years.   I own vacation property on Anna Maria Island.   This weekend I sat for the Florida dental board licensing exam at Nova U in Ft. Lauderdale and await the results of 2 of the 6 parts I have taken.

Will hopefully soon put GA in the rearview mirror.

I dunno, 75 right now low of 61 tonight, I'm outside watching my son play ball.  Low humidity.   Getting into best weather.  I'm biased because I'm cool.Attachment Attached File

I kind of like it. I want to love it. Too many snakes and not enough outdoor things to do beyond the beach.

My parents home is near Tampa. I visit frequently.

Used to.
WV is hands down better.

WV would be perfect it you could pick it up and move it in between Georgia and Florida. I love it here. Constitutional open or concealed carry, beautiful scenery, decent hunting & fishing, plentiful twisty back roads to ride motorcycles, etc. It's just a bit too cold in January and February. The southland is where it's at. Just came back from the gulf coast. I love it. I don't think I'd want to live on the coast but it's awesome a couple weeks at a time. I hope to one day be able to find small town America BFE like here but there.

I love FL as well. This is my back yard, well just after a 5 minute ride out of the canal.

My sister in Pensacola is still picking up her place from hurricane Sally. It did a lot of damage and that just a cat 2. Record number of hurricanes this year and they are getting more intense.

Lived in Oklahoma for 45 years and never seen a tornado in person. Pretty sure hurricanes are more wide spread lol. Besides that Florida has more tornados than Oklahoma.

Ohio is summertime sweet corn and tomatoes. No tornadoes to worry about. Access to indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. Needs more mountains for hiking though.

Florida is Plan B (Melbourne Beach or Merritt Island)

Corpus Christi area. I bought my other place 2 years ago and just want to get there and get on with living. If I can net what I paid for this place 15 years ago I would take it.

Before kids we would be on the island every May.

You could usually find me near the corner of Gulf dr and 39th drinking dollar beers and eating burgers.

Beautiful island.

I have been all over this country and reality is it's all great.  Pockets of shit and shitheads but overall this country still kicks ass.  Alot of the people are dumb and soft.  That doesn't change the fact that you can live in the mountains or on the beach.  Plains or desert, snow or palm trees.

WA is cool, you many more antifa and tweakers though.

I lived in Florida for around 32 years and still go back to see family at least twice a year.  Couldn’t wait to get out of the flat topography and humidity.  Mountains and hills and no humidity = much more pleasurable to me.  I could bear Florida a lot more if not for the humidity, I love being outdoors but I hate immediately sweating as soon as you walk out.

In fact, we're one of the few states that's seemingly reddening.

It appears we've gone from "purple" to a shade of "burgundy".
