Its not that boomers are ill intent. Its just that they don’t understand people have a different starting point than the silver platter they were handed and absolutely squandered.

Quoted: Shit is stupid. Millenials and Gen Z will get dogpiled by their children/grandchildren about how THEY fucked the world up for THEM. So maybe everyone should just STFU, because aint nobody fixing the world, and no one has any idea what they're gonna fuck up for the next guy. We all lose by doing this. View Quote Just like the insurance commercials: “We can’t stop you from becoming your parents…” Guess what millenials…YOU are a few years away from being the new boomers and all subsequent gens will blame YOU for every single one of the country’s shortcomings, problems, etc. Enjoy! |

I'm an older millennial more in line with Gen X.
I see all these Boomers making fun of young millennials and they most of the time are wrong they aren't even millennials. That's Gen Z or whatever. Millennials are approaching 40 years old now. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Millennials are mostly right about Boomers, however the majority of Millennials seem to be intent on finishing what the Boomers started. Which one doesn't know what the Berlin wall was? In which generation are men menstruating and having babies? Which generation went to school with tampons in men's bathrooms? Who needs a safe space in college? Who gave birth to millennials? Who raised them in early childhood? Who were the teachers that educated them? Do any of those things have an influence on the socio-political beliefs of millennials? I’d argue quite a bit. I hate this generational finger pointing, but millennials didn’t just fuckin pop out of the womb the way they are. They are a product of previous generations. Zoomers and their successors will be able to say the same about millennials. The oldest millennials first voted for a president in 2000. Shit was well past fucked by that point in many regards. It was probably 2010 before any significant amount of millennials were old enough to have any sort of power to influence society. Hell, we’re still not at the point of being the majority of positions of power in education, politics, and industry. So who’s really pulling the strings, STILL? People generally get less commie and more conservative as they age, and millennials are just now starting to enter that phase of their life as they are now raising their own families. Until some go through that transition and start forging their own path, they’re just living and influencing society the way they were raised and educated, and we don’t raise and educate ourselves. |

What generation gave us the income tax, the Fed, and popularly elected senators????
Fix those 3 and you have half a chance at getting your country back. If not, you’re done. So you know what you need to do Gen X. Have at it!! And I wish you luck!! |

Quoted: I love these threads of each generation bitching about other generations. Sounds like a bunch of democrats arguing. View Quote It's far more about age then generation. Young people tend to trend lib or socialist because they haven't earned much yet and getting ''free'' shit sounds easy and cool. Once any generation ages up a bit and acquires goods and wealth, they start leaning the other way. The Lazy Poor OTOH are almost always socialist their entire life and will always vote for whoever gives them the most ''free'' shit stolen from the people who work. And uh, just to create even more strife, single women voting, as a whole, will be the death of the country. They want more ''free'' shit then any other group you can name. Of course their are outliers but even many of the ones that claim they are ''conservative'' aren't voting that way and if you talk to them long enough, you'll find out they aren't conservative at all. |
