Doubt it was intentional. View Quote There is no other way , or no better way to do it than to have what happened today happen. The people were totally not expecting it, and unaware, so any reaction would be just like if the real thing happened. Of course the gov will never us anything. It was an exercise I am willing to bet. As always, the gov waits until the last minute to do anything, so it makes sense that they have intelligence saying that Kim has a missile ready to go that is capable of hitting Hawaii. I can be wrong, won't be the first time, but that's just my hunch. |

I think you need to be really damn sure it's bogus before telling people everything is okay. 38 minutes doesn't strike me as exceedingly long to do so. Attached File |

Interestingly, that's one minute longer than the expected flight time for a missed from NK. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/291119/Screenshot_20180113-141338-419194.JPG View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

CONELRAD: Civil Defense TV Spot |

So let me get this right. The State of Hawaii had a button they push that put out some kind of pre-written text message?
Press #1 for tsunami Press #2 for volcano Press #3 for nuclear attack Press #4 for sharknado Come on...someone had to write that message out. |

With the furies breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered crop. |

IMO, there's no way this was an accident during shift change. There's no way that's the default prewritten message.
Someone got into their system and trolled the state of Hawaii. They're too embarrassed to admit it. |

I heard the whole interview with Tulsi Gabbard (and then again when they replayed it). It sounded to me like she was blaming Trump and other Presidents for being limp wristed with North Korea and wanted him to take a harder line with them. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I didn't catch the whole interview, but in the part I heard she specifically blamed "past leaders" for creating the problem. She's pissed - I would be too - and is probably right in insisting Trump is going to have to do something about it. Who else is going to? This is really going to crank up the pressure on Fat Kim. The threat just got very real for a lot of people, and they didn't like the taste of it. It'll be interesting to see where this goes. |

It's amazing how fast the talking points are developed. All Hawaii officials immediately pivot to "This wouldn't be an issue if Trump wasn't provoking North Korea!"
In reality if this was a mistake it would be total incompetence on a state level, a state ran entierly by democrats. |

Back in the 60s, at an early warning array in Iceland, suddenly registered over a thousand inbound ICBMs. It took 20 minutes for the folks to figure out that what was happening was a mistake in their computer program. No one on the design team figured the radar was powerful enough for the beam to hit the rising moon and return, so the computer, programmed to report on objects 1-2 thousand miles away, took the 200,000 mile return pulse and divided the distance by the original watch distance.
Strange things happen. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we find out 30 years from now that the alert was triggered by a hypersonic test aircraft. |
