Pot is somewhat cheap and widely accessible compared to things like heroin and meth.  Of course they're going to have a cheap, easy drug in their system. I also bet they had alcohol and nicotine too.

Well I am an LEO and I am going to have to agree with the usual suspects on this.  There is absolutely no compelling reason marijuana should be illegal.

No shit. How about nicotinne? Did they test for that? How about pants? Were they wearing them? Pants lead to overdoses! Quick! Everybody take off your pants!

Finally! I've been waiting my whole life for this.

People with dibilitating mental health issues will medicate however they can

And when they decide the check out by overdose, why not take a toke to ease the anxiety before popping or shooting up whatever drug y which they will leave the world.

Accidental ODs too, I imagine, what, barbiturates/opiates being the most common drugs OD on?   Toke up in between the hard stuff because MJ is cheaper?  Numb the pain however.

Probably because it's blatant proof of the hypocrisy surrounding the epic failure that we know of as the "War on Drugs", especially when it comes to pot.

How many deaths each year can be directly attributed to pot?  How about alcohol?

How much money is spent each year treating the physical damage done to people by pot (not counting compulsory rehab costs)?  How about alcohol?

How many normally calm, rational people go on violent rampages while high on pot?  How about alcohol?

The only place where pot even compares to alcohol in terms of harm caused is the cost in both dollars and liberty that we all pay when the nanny state tries to stop people from using them.

You mean people who use hard drugs would smoke weed? shocking.. How many of them had sex outside of marriage? probably closer to 100%,  promiscuity must lead to drug overdoses.

It's boring and inaccurate.  There have been folks on here and I will join them that will put $1,000 on the line over a drug test of your choice.  Of you believe so firmly in your position this is easy money for you.

+1  I think heroin should be legal. Fuck it.  I've never even tried weed though I love me some alcohol. Haven't had a drink in a month or so ...

The point is some people want to try and say something without evidence to support it, so they skirt around saying it... like saying that pot may cause people to OD on other drugs...

Just people who don't understand how cause and effect works is all.

I don't think that people overdose on marijuana.  I do get tired of all the blather about it being natural and therefore harmless physically.  I know an individual who died of cancer.  His ENT specialist and oncologist were both baffled that he didn't smoke to the point of asking him multiple times and asking family if he had a history of smoking at any point.  I guess his cancer was very strongly associated with smoking.  And he wasn't entirely lying, he never smoked cigarettes, he just didn't want to admit to smoking marijuana for years.  More or less harmful than other things?  I don't know.  But the entire line about it being benign except the high that proponents drum out with every discussion is horse shit.

Tons. The feds have desperately tried for nearly a century now to find something bad about pot, and so far all they can come up with is demotivational syndrome and excess tars in the smoke, neither of which is a problem except in heavy users, and both are reversible.
