There are old riders, there are bold riders, but there are no old bold riders.

As a avid rider... meh. Don't care.
When you ride like that... expect shit like that. It's not if, but when. |

Holy gerbil. Was that a big hole on that former motorcyclist's chest as he was flying over the pavement?

That dude puts the "D" in 'SQUID'.
You have to understand that riding motorcycles is a balancing act of physics, counter steer, cornering, wheelies, etc are all really cool side effects of physics. But, if you do something stupid, you are now a ballistic object with very little protection, and physics is going to kick your ass. Riding that fast on congested streets in traffic? Not a matter of if you're going to die, just when. |

Quoted: Looked like he was zooming. Moto-Darwinism. How does it work? View Quote And if you scan right, you'll see that he had just passed through another intersection with a traffic signal one-tenth of a mile back. https://goo.gl/maps/f5aZoif1XYzrULo5A Even if he had the green at that one, there was no way he could have reacted at that speed to someone in it taking a right turn on red...or entering the road from one of the many strip malls along it. It was just a matter of time with this guy. |

Thankfully the squid hit her in the front wheel/firewall area. Had he hit her door it would have killed her too.

Quoted: That car driver made a questionable turn from the middle lane. Two stupids and the biker loses the fight. View Quote There are only two southbound lanes at that intersection, and one of them is a turn lane. The driver had a green arrow, and turned from a turn lane. Not sure what is questionable about that. |

Holy shit, dude was moving.
It almost looked like it was on fast forward when he came into frame. I had a guy a couple weeks ago try to "lane split" on a motorcycle in a bicycle lane across 5 lanes and the light had just changed and people were still turning. Lucky for him the last person turning saw his dumb ass and stopped rather than pulling left directly in front of him. Dude used up 8/9 lives that day. |

I think he thinks the driver was making a right from the center/left turn lane, car only went right because that retard hit it. |

Quoted: I was always taught to ride like your invisible....just assume that the cars on the road can't see you and ride accordingly. I also didn't ride double the speed limit and blow red lights View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Yep. You ride defensively or die. There are not many fender benders when a bike is involved And intersections are typically where fatal bike accidents happen. Other driver doesn't see the oncoming bike...or if they do, they misjudge the bike's speed or distance. When you are on a bike and approaching an intersection with a stopped or approaching oncoming vehicle, you should assume it is going to turn left in front of you...and approach the intersection ready to react to it. Or be comfortable with the fact that the parts of you that are too small to get picked up are going to get washed down a storm drain. That is literally the dispatch call - wash down. I was always taught to ride like your invisible....just assume that the cars on the road can't see you and ride accordingly. I also didn't ride double the speed limit and blow red lights 90% don't see you and the other 10% are trying to run you over. |

Absolutely zero fucks to give.
"Watch out for motorcycles!" "Look twice, save a life!" mhm, sure. Assholes like that make it MORE dangerous for legit riders. |

I had a guy on a bike pass me at high speed on a narrow bridge in a 30mph zone and run head on into a oncoming pickup truck. The elderly driver of the pickup, his grand daughter, and I had a bad start to a Saturday morning.

Quoted: Saw one near my business that blew by a red light (on a Harley) and got smacked by an illegal driving a F-250 (hit and run, but caught). Brains were spattered about 40 feet along the street. No big loss. Found out later that the fucker was a registered sex offender. View Quote Alien vs predator? |

Quoted: I take issue with the term accident here, and in many other cases. This was not an accident, it was a consequence of driving like a moron. View Quote Those speeds on an urban/suburban street, and blowing a red light by 3 or 4 seconds? What do you think is gonna happen? Probably safer to play russian roulette.... With a semi-auto. |

Quoted: Yeah, one of the biggest mistakes I see MC riders making is thinking that "right of way" means a damn thing. A life ending / altering accident for a bike is a new bumper and an insurance claim for Karen. ride accordingly View Quote HERE LIES BIKER BILL HE HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY Small consolation when you're dead. |

Quoted: Video was removed from youtube before I got to watch it. View Quote Imagine dashcam from a vehicle about to enter an intersection with one car in front of it, both turning left. Another car on the other side of the intersection is also turning left, which is to the camera car's right. Out of nowhere, Leeroy Jenkins comes flying into the intersection from the right at about mach two and slams into the front of the oncoming vehicle that is turning left, whereupon he goes cartwheeling at 2000 RPMs up into the sky and back down to the ground, then slides left out of frame, still moving at about mach .5. He manages to launch his boots into low Earth orbit. |
