Hell, for my 12th birthday I saw" Time rider" at the movies with some friends.

Theatrical genius. There are few movies ever committed to film that are so skillfully executed. It is the standard by which all '80s car racing movies are judged. In this respect, it is to its genre what "Rad" was to BMX racing, or "Gleaming the Cube" to skateboarding. View Quote Well said! Great movie, love the soundtrack. "I smell french fries Skank, but that don't make no sense" |

Saw it with my dad when I was a kid. Always stuck with me. I re-watched it about a year ago and loved it.

I started watching Joe Bob in the late '80s, early '90s. I love that guy! I thought the Wraith was the coolest movie ever, aside from Beastmaster, when it came out, haha. Between Joe Bob and Elvira, I have seen a lot of B movies. I came here to post this!!!! |

I'm waiting for the sequel with bated breath. It'll be called "The Grapes of Wraith".
[And, yes, the correct term is "bated breath" not 'baited breath".] |

Awesome.. Dont forget TimeRider!! http://www.cinema52.com/2013/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/time-rider.jpg View Quote Best quote from that movie, "Make 'em bounce." LMAO. The 80's was a great time for movies. |

Cheesy but fun. Lot's of cheese in the 80s, but what glorious and righteous cheese it was.
80s cheese was best cheese. Like Hot Dog, the ,movie. Also see Red Sonja, and The Beast Master. And the ultimate cheese for action, Commando. |

View Quote Awesome movie! Thanks for reminding me about it, just ordered the Blu-ray from Amazon, only $5.89. |

My first job off the farm was working in a video store in 1985.
What an amazing experience. Tons of movies made every year. Good ones, bad ones, blockbusters. Many production companies willing to make a few bucks. Whenever I see a title from a movie in the '80's I instantly see the posters and the box covers. And I made $5 an hour. I was rich, not gonna lie. |

Saw that the other night and it has Clint Howard in it, who started out on the Andy Griffith show.

Fun fact:
The actor that played Packard also played the tattoo artist in The Hangover II. Even funner fact: Same guy directed the #1 chick-flick of all-time: The Notebook. |

Two movies that need a proper, high-budget remake:
Days of Thunder The Wraith. |

Quoted: Still trying to figure out how Chrysler got one of their concept cars wrapped up in that whole deal. Damn I am old, that movie was kind of one of those "watch it whenever it comes on" sorta time wasters. Damn I am old, that movie was kind of one of those "watch it whenever it comes on" sorta time wasters. There was a lot of Turbo Mopar action in that film. It's a favorite of the Shelby Dodge Automobile Club to say the least. If anyone wants to check out one of the M4S cars there is one at the Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI. |

Loved the movie. Even watched a bad Chinese screen grab version with bad voiceovers recently to get my fix.
View Quote This was great too. The lead guy (Dean Stockman or something?) always got the best cars in movies. The gorgeous GTO in this one, and his Charger in Christine. |

Since it's available on Amazon Prime, I just finished re-watching it. Good stuff.
I especially liked the Pontiac with the non rotating supercharger on it. Must be the same model as Mad Max. |

View Quote Hell yeah, that's a fun movie, thanks for posting that. |

That Turbo car was amazing in that movie. They used a Dodge M4S Turbo concept. Here's my proof.
