When I was younger There was a movie called Max Payne, overall a shitty movie but a shootout scene in the bathroom had some amazing special effects making the gun look like some amazing destructive thing of dread.
The Character used a shitty obscure gun from a shitty company called Taurus Judge. Overnight every one had to have one and use it for CC and self defense and we had people getting gold medal in mental gymnastics trying to legitimize and defend the use of this awful lump of metallic shit as anything but a meme gun. I was a bit younger back then and that movie kinda shone a light on the amount of dumb fuck gun owners we have here in the US. What other movie/scenes affected gun trends/culture? |

Lethal weapon/diehard
Also Max Payne was a wet shit of a movie and didn't influence Judge sales as much as fudds in gun shops in my opinion. |

I can't wait to buy a "Phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range."

Wind River made the marlin 45-70 SBL unobtainable for a while, then the whole sale to Ruger extended that. Good thing is, it’s a better gun now.

Saving Private Ryan drove up the market on Garands and M1 Carbines. And just about anything WWII.

Dirty harry and the 44 mag
Wind River and Jurassic Park for lever action 45-70s Edit Beat on both accounts |
|

Dirty Harry series sold a shit-ton of S&W 44 Mag model 29s, as well as some auto - Wildey? Desert Eagle? Similar with Death Wish.

I've always wanted a LeMat revolver because of 12 monkeys, but I don't think many people even noticed it

I have to wonder how many Staccato and TT sales are directly attributable to John Wick.

Referring to Max Payne as just some shitty movie .
The game came first and was a masterpiece. As for other guns that were made popular by movies. Desert Eagle - just about every movie Spas 12 - Terminator and Jurassic Park FN FNC - Heat Beretta 92 - Lethal weapon and a bajillion other 80s action/cop flicks HK USP compact - Collateral and 24 I mean there is a ton of instances of guns becoming popular due to movies/video games. |

John wick and the tarded looking race guns.
My buddy has also been all about some sigs like MCX or spear or something. I reckon John Wick selling those, too. |

View Quote Jurassic World did more for the SBL than Wind River did.. that just was a resurgence 2 years later. After we walked out of Jurassic World I told my wife I needed an SBL sooner than later.. never got one in time... ended up getting the 1895 Classic... which I really like. |

Pretty sure Zulu dried up the supply of Martini-Henrys for a long time.

Quigley Down Under probably helped sell lots of Sharps replicas
Partly the reason I got my Shiloh Sharps 45-110. |

What was that revolver in 3 Kings? I remember a hiccup for that, but that was just a blip.

Colt Python that Hutch carried on Starsky and Hutch
1911 in a shoulder holster like William Holden’s in the Wild Bunch Sig P228 DeNiro carried in Ronin |

I bet if I thought hard enough I could think of 10 acquaintances that have dumbass Judges. I doubt any of them have seen Max Payne. Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, on the other hand, sold some 92's for sure. |

Quoted: I have to wonder how many Staccato and TT sales are directly attributable to John Wick. View Quote Maybe the glock TT sales went up. I can't imagine the average movie watching american has $7K laying around for a Pit Viper. I mean, if I win the lottery, I'm getting one, but outside of that, I'm too poor. |
