Die Hard made the MP5 iconic. At least that's why I bought one.

Not gonna lie, the only reason I bought my 29-2 p&r is because of Dirty Harry. Ironically enough, when the first John Wick came out I owned all the guns Keanu Reeves used in that film, but I had them before the film made them cool.

Die Hard - Aug
Sniper - PSG1 Grand Torino - Garand Full Metal Jacket - M1A Not sure anyone else thought so, but… Congo - FNFAL |

Quoted: Black Hawk Down and Blood Diamond are big drivers in the carry handle carbine market. Also, I always thought the part in Jurassic Park that showed the jammed SPAS-12 to be very fitting because the one I had was a jam-o-matic piece of shit. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/147863/A730EC8A-B7B2-4CB2-8C04-7CA276A0D847-2921815.jpg View Quote Heat triggered carry handle sales too, and cheesy fishnet mag carrier vests. |

Hmm anybody feel like Commando helped sell any M202 Flash launchers?

Jeremiah Johnson single-handedly revived the Hawken/ black powder market.

Hell, "Rust" made me want to go out and buy an SAA. And it isn't even out yet...............

Lots of folks wanted M1 Garands and M1 Carbines after Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. Probably 1911’s as well, but I know people who went for the rifles directly as a result of the movie & series.

Underrated response. I bet that movie sold more Red Ryders than most other guns listed here COMBINED. |

I liked all that bullshit on "Terminator."
"The Uzi nine millimeter, the forty five long slide with the laser sighting, the twelve gauge autoloader. The plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.." "Sarah Conna?" |

Quoted: Die Hard and Lethal Weapon sold a ton of Beretta 92s. View Quote I grew up watching those and a lot of other 80s action movies with my father. The 92FS Inox has been on my list forever. Havent bought it yet because Id consider it a safe queen and just havent justified the cash for something Ill likely never use. |

Glock 7, it's porcelain and undetectable by current technology.
Bruce Willis has no reason to lie to me. |

Lethal Weapon for sure, after that freakin EVERYBODY had to have a 9mm crunchenticker, and you were old/retarded if you clung to your revolvers and 1911's.

The problem with modern inox is they come with black small parts. Everything but the extractor is an easy swap, but the extra parts add up. |

I own an H & K VP70 because of my favorite movie Aliens. I wanted to stay Frosty. Also why I own a Smith & Wesson M39 just Like Vasquez carried.

Every dude bro in the world bought the Taran Tactical pistols that were in John Wick.

Seeing Collateral at the movies when I was 13 ensured I got a USP45 as soon as I was able.

Never got into the Beretta 92. Though I do intend to pick up a 92XI someday. For me the one gun I wanted from a piece of media was the CZ-75 from Gunsmith Cats. Although I don't subscribe to Rally Vincent's unhealthy facination with the earliest Short Rail version. |

I know more than a few people that bought PS90s because of Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.

Quoted: I know more than a few people that bought PS90s because of Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis. View Quote Heh, I remember when I first saw them I thought they were a reverse engineered alien weapon prop. Then I noticed they were dropping brass and much to my shock, it's a real military weapon. I would have bought one but I just don't like the round. |

When I was a kid, I thought the OA-93 from Clear and Present Danger was pretty cool. I never got one, for various reasons, but I imagine a lot of people were looking for one after seeing that movie.

Quoted: Walther ppk - James Bond View Quote I know right, this right here. And it's such a trash gun too, Walther should just let it die but I bet it makes them a ton of money. The gun just flat out sucks! It's a weak caliber but it's loud and recoils like a bigger gun. The sights are pure dog shit. If the hammer doesn't bite your hand the slide will, and your knuckle will probably bash on the trigger guard. What a piece of crap gun but it does look nice though. |
