I think Cavs can win if Love or JR Smith gets hot. If they're all cold, Warriors are just going to double/triple team Lebron. Lebron could score 60 but if nobody else shows up...
Cavs have done a good job of making Warriors play their style. Slow and iso heavy. Curry is a threat in that type of game, but not Durant. That's exactly what the Cavs want, Durant to get into hero mode. |

Jordan was not a "lights out shooter." Jordan's career three-point percentage is 32.7, James's is 34.4. Jordan's career two-point percentage is 51, James's is 54.7. For 2018, 32.7% on threes would rank 125th in the league. In 1998, Jordan didn't even attempt enough threes to be ranked. You Jordan guys should stop making stuff up. It detracts from his greatness. Here's a fun one, would 6'8 freight train Lebron James have been better during Jordan's era, and would Jordan who is a lights out shooter have been better during this 3 ball era? And what would this translate to in the current day with more homogenized talent. Would lebron benefit from having a Hall of fame coach who can control him? Would Jordan be able to succeed to the same exact degree without one, in a league with GSW 73 win team adding an MVP? |

We are on a new page after all "Volume scorer guy made his teammates better than the guy who passed the ball." "Yeah no he didn't." "Yeah well. He would have willed his team to win." "His teams were always the favorite, not the underdog. Had Pippen and Rodman gotten hurt in a finals series he would have lost that too." MJ never beat a team in the finals with 2 MVPs and 4 of 12 AllStars, he faced a 90s league with several expansion teams and diluted rosters. Good teams feasted on the shit teams. He was able to beat Bird's Celtics, by waiting for him to hurt his back. Again Jordan is a fantastic player, but you can be a fantastic player and lose to a really good team, those Celtics had several hall-of-famers on it. The starting 5 are basically all hall of famers. IIRC at least 4 of 5 are. Just as Jordan lost to such a team, Lebron may do so as well. |

Quoted: it shouldn't have been overturned though, the replay is to see if he was in the restricted area or not, not to see if it was actually a charge or a defensive foul. the play was quick and bang bang, with no dog in the fight, i can see it both ways, but tend to lean more towards it being an actual charge on kd... and if you think lbj gets calls, kd gets the same amount of calls. View Quote From http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_c.html "A defensive player may turn slightly to protect himself, but is never allowed to bend over and submarine an opponent." Yet in the statement the league released regarding the call says ""The crew was not reasonably certain whether James (CLE) was in the restricted area after an offensive foul was called against Durant (GSW). Upon replay review, it was confirmed that James was outside the restricted area. The referees also reviewed whether James was in a legal guarding position, which is an additional reviewable matter for this replay trigger. Replay showed James was not in a legal guarding position because he was turning his body and moving into Durant when contact occurred. Thus the initial call on the floor was overturned and James was assessed a blocking foul." Bold doesn't make much sense to me based on what it says on their site. Also the underlined part did happen, but the rules no longer say that negates a charge. To me its too vague and thus we get what happened the other night. |

That would have been chicken shit. One ref had a block and one down low had a charge. The ref up high saw the other defenders foot on the restricted circle line so he called a block. LeBron slid over and turned into KD who was already in the air so the block was correct. |

On lane violations....rules are rules. Go back to game 1 and check the video at about 6:35 in the 3rd quarter. LeBron shot two free throws and stepped over on BOTH free throws (which he made) before the ball got anywhere near the rim. That is the definition of a lane violation on the shooter, but neither one was called.
The problem is that referees in the NBA for decades have enforced the rules about like the Obama administration enforced immigration policy. Travelling, 3 seconds, lane violations....they've all become unicorn farts. |

Big, slow half-court offenses have gone the way of the dinosaur. Some of the East teams are the last holdouts (even PHI is trying to transition). This Cavs team is done. At this point, I have my doubts if passive-aggressive LeBron would even go to a team where he had to listen to a coach. I still think that on the court LBJ is better than MJ, but at least MJ realized (with Phil Jackson’s help) that it took more than one person’s flashy numbers (like maybe coaching and a supporting cast) to win championships. He could try to go to a well coached team, but that might just make those coaches’ heads explode. |
