Mostly likely was a Henry weinhards. If I remember right, I choked it down because it was a "reward" from my uncle. I couldn't understand why anyone would wanna drink that shit. Look at me now

Miller.  I was 14 years old and working construction.  It was about 85 degrees and we were working in the sun.  The older guys were drinking it.  They gave me one.

My first beer was the one we took out of my best friends garage. It was his dad's beer, I believe it was Hudepohl.

Schaeffer. Eight years old, working in the garden with the OldMan and his brother. Those two could drink Milwaukee dry.

The Old Man was a fan of blue collar beers. Genesee, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Milwaukee, Hamms...

Could've been anything.

Blatz
Old Milwaukee
Pabst
Carling
Hamm's
Stroh's

Chances are it was a Blatz or a Stroh.

Lol, I haven’t seen that shit since the late 80’s. A local grocery store chain had a generic aisle where everything was white packaging with black lettering, I stopped and thought about it but continued to the back to buy my usual Busch beer.

Schoenling Little Kings. A number of them.

ETA: That was the first time I drank “a beer”. My dad gave me a taste of his Hamm’s when I was about 6 or 8. F’in gross. I’m guessing those old school beers—Hamm’s, Schlitz, Wiedeman… I would still think they are gross. Beer has gotten a lot better in the past 20 years.

Blitz weinehard. .

I was 12.   My dad and I were hunting for blacktail.

He saw and shot a 3 point that was about 200 yards down the side of the mountain.    It took a couple hours to drag it up to the road.
It was so steep that you could touch the ground straight in front of you while standing up.

After we got it to the truck.   My dad pulled a beer out of the cooler and opened it.   Then set it next to me.   Then he grabbed another and opened it.

He never said anything about it.   I never told mom.

Probably Busch my dad would let me sample when I was a kid.

First full beer was Bud Light in my friend’s back yard when I was 15 I think.

Coors.
It’s what Dad had in the fridge, even in England (bought on base).

By 14 he was buying me my own sixers so I wouldn’t drink all his.
Nothing pissed my Dad off more than having his last beer drank.

Michelob light.

these days my go to mass market brews are Paulaner, Howgaarden, or Budvar (Czechvar in the US).

Fav small brews are any of the trappist beers.  (The only American one, from Spencer Abbey in Massachusetts, is very good and I have a slight preference for that just to support a new local business.  but Westmalle is really really good)
