Has anyone opened up the loading port on their 1301 tactical? I know the competition models are opened up some already, along with having the longer receiver.
I’ve been thinking about opening up mine, I’m not planning on crazy 3 gun opened up, but it could certainly use some work. Any tips? Just removing some metal doesn’t seem too bad, well within my capacity. I’d have to pick up some tools for this for sure, I think a number of small files and dremel bits. Any tips on getting it really smoothed and polished. Good files to use? |

Is the Aridus adapter actually in stock anywhere? I think I'm sold on upgrading my stock.

I must have missed the 1301 Tactical pistol grip model price....

1. Do the new models have larger loading ports than the old models?
2. Is there an advantage to the extended magazine on the new models vs. Installing the Nordic on the old model? Sorry if this has already been asked, but I didn't see it. |

Our government just left billions in military equipment for third world people to play with. Fuck the gov and their draconian bull shit, stop playing their fucking games. |

I have one of the 'pre production' 1301 Tacticals they pumped out back in July. Don't like pistol grips (on shotguns) so put a standard Beretta stock on it. Features I like; bolt release, the weight, and build quality is what you expect.
Ran it against my FN SLP. The 1301 ran great, but the SLP remains my favorite. Benelli makes a nice gun but the M4 never really did it for me. I'll probably keep the 1301 but a better rifle stock would be a good upgrade. I've got Magpul furniture on my 590 SBS, and really like it, but am having a hard time thinking about doing that to a Beretta. Edit: other upgrade will be a competition lifter whenever those come back in stock. |

Thanks to NY's (un)SAFE Act, a semi-auto shottie with a pistol grip is a no-go, regular stock is fine though (max of 7 rounds, and no detachable mags allowed). I'll probably grab a 1301 next year, bought too much this summer... |

I bought mine two months ago from GunPrime and it came with the screw in choke. The SKU Model was J131T18C. I added everything else. It originally had the Mossberg/Aridus stock but my old snowboarding wrist could deal with the grip angle. Switched over to the pistol grip and it’s perfect.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I didn't see it. View Quote 1 - gen 2 has an opened up loading port, I don’t believe it’s as mush as a competition model though 2 - new extension seems to be polymer, I can’t say it’s an upgrade or not. I’m sure it will work just fine. |

View Quote It works that good, about 5 minutes of playing around I have it down pretty well. beretta doesn’t leave much room under the factory hand guard so getting it drilled in the right spot the first time is a little stressful. |

I bought the Nordic extension and it comes with a small piece of rail you can mount onto the barrel clamp.

I love my 1301 comp. And I usually don't love shotguns. Won't be "upgrading" either.
Great, great shotgun. The only time I've seen it fail was a friend tried super light loaded shells. |

Quoted: @John_Wayne777 If you're using that light mount and (I'm assuming) a mag extension, where/how are you attaching the front end of a sling? Thanks for the advice! View Quote I don't use a sling on my home defense guns. But if you wanted to run both you can put a sling mount or a light mount forward with a barrel clamp attachment. Or use something like the BFG universal sling loop. |
