That is disappointing.
They are telling a fictional story, they could have framed it in any number of ways. Are these whites supposed to be ICP fans? Maybe the show will be more nuanced than it seems at first glance? People are taking to vigilante justice against those that commit crimes because the police won’t do anything about it? Or are they trying to make them all “Rorschach”s except make him / them all to be unlikeable? I would have liked to see something more with the surveillance state, electronic everything, a society where you are not allowed to say you don’t want to date a post op tranny because that would make you close minded, one where minimum wage is 25 an hour but now everyone just slacks off at work while robots or under the counter help does all the work. But no, make the show about race. |
