Just catching up and watched Q3.
Max is an animal. Yes, the RB19 is a rocket ship, but if there were two Checo's in that team, the story would be very different. Total respect to Max. That last flying lap was top notch. Having said that, Leclerc on pole. Woohoo! I'll take my wins where I can get them. eta: Piastri deserves a shout out. Will be very interesting to follow his career. Very impressive. |

Piastri can be amusing too
at 2:56: “Fifth on the grid, sixth at turn 1” (talking about Max starting behind him) Not too amused as team principal “DON’T THINK LIKE THAT!” but amusing nonetheless Drivers React After Qualifying | 2023 Belgian Grand Prix |

That is the F1TV crew. ETA: F1TV is not available for most of Europe. Thanks much, Different topic: Is Bottas pretty much just riding around out there? The whole team could be accused of the same, but that is a function of the prolonged Audi takeover. Next year will be the same, but without the Alfa sponsorship and the team more than likely going back to the Sauber name for 24 and 25. So…like the team, Bottas is just doing time waiting to be replaced eventually by Audi. |

Yes, he is no max, but he’s also not driving a car which whole développement and evolution is centered and focused around him and his driving style. What is the proof of that ? It’s no wonder that both in 2022 and 2023 at the beginning of the champ and before the development and enhancement begin kicking in, he can compete and even beat max sometimes. But as a soon as the car starts evolving (in one direction) it’s over. It’s not just a random thing. Also, I am not surprised by piastri beating Norris here. He always did monster races here in Spa in previous categories. |

Aston is retarded though. If you send stroll
In on medium at least put him BEHIND your other guy.. |

Told you piastri rocks here
Shame that leclerc screwed his t2. He clearly went wide in one corner. I’m certain it costed him the pole. Yes, just saw the timesheet. It costed him the pole |

How can max be so far ahead yesterday and so close today ?
Maybe they told Red Bull a one second lead wasn’t good for business |

the Mclaren are really really high above ground. they have settings for a determined type of race for sure

Probably pretty close to Q2 yesterday. |

Looks like the bromance between Hamilton and Russell is pretty much over. Can’t wait for more. Just like last year, when Merc improved their car at a certain point in the season (Canada last year, Monaco this year), Russell starts to fall behind and starts badmouthing the team and everyone else. Lots of entertainment value.
Spa usually has an interesting first lap. It’s almost better to be P2 going up the hill because of the tow you get down the Kemmel straight, and the guy in front can’t really do much about it. |

View Quote Man I would love to see Hamilton have another Roseburg-esq relationship with a teammate again. Bottas was way to soft so he's had it easy since 2016, and now that George has settled in at Merc I'm sure he'll have more confidence going forward. |

Every time the intro comes on, I can’t help laughing at Bottas porn stache.

I just noticed the graphic on the back of Hamilton’s gloves looks like the tread pattern on the intermediate tires. Anyone know the significance of that?

They are gonna do a couple laps under the safety car, then red flag it.

If the sun comes out, the reflection off the wet track and through the rooster tails behind the cars is going to make for horrific visibility.
