If you know the model number you can use gun deals to search.
https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/787450829596 That said, if you are looking locally you can search dealers through century's website and track down who may have the better pricing locally if want to avoid shipping fees and transfer fees. For example, in NC Bratz Tactical seems to have the better pricing in the state depending on the model compared to having one shipped, but that's a heck drive for me: https://www.bratztactical.com/handguns/semi-automatic-handguns/ap5-m-one-9mm-blk-45-bracecahg6036ab-n https://www.bratztactical.com/handguns/semi-automatic-handguns/ap5-m-one-9mm-blk-45-301cahg6036a-n https://www.bratztactical.com/handguns/semi-automatic-handguns/ap5-p-one-9mm-blk-575-301cahg6035a-n https://www.bratztactical.com/handguns/semi-automatic-handguns/ap5-one-pist-9mm-blk-89-301cahg6034a-n |

Quoted: These different rails look interesting but I notice most of them cowitness with the sights. Any of them on risers with see-through under the mount? I’ve always found HK sights to be a bit busy. Back in the day when we had century Cetmes we used UTG cheap mounts, and they held up fine on 762. Didn’t really want to scope that old Cetme, but with the century canted sights it was easier than cutting off the rear site and re-welding it or torquing the barrel View Quote Can verify that the ultra low profile pic mounts like the one from MFI or B&T plus a scalarworks mount with T2 allows you to see the irons under the optic. |

Has anyone measured the bolt gap on their MKE AP5?
Mine came in at .014, debating on whether or not I want to go ahead and stamp it or just run a brace for a while and see if it shrinks. |

The AC unity mags have a little pad on the front of the magazine where it goes inside the mag well. That pad can be sanded down so that the magazines fit your gun tightly. So unmodified those magazines will generally be pretty tight in most guns until you adjust that pad down until it locks up perfectly. I’ve never had an issue with those but I primarily use my metal HK and metal POF mags |

I am very surprised that magpul has not been making magazines yet for these. $60 a mag is too much; magpul could be putting their own brand out for 1/2 the price point.

View Quote That said, several other companies are making polymer double feed mags now and there's not too much rumbling out there about them being all bad, but it's also a smaller market segment than the AR world. As for rails, if you want picatinny then there's the KAC and the Surefire rails, pricey and harder to get. B&T makes a fore end with rails as well. For lower profile with MLok, Midwest Industries, PTR, and a couple others all make something there, I like the MI one the best. These are usually a lot easier to get a hold of. |

Gathering the parts as I wait.
One of the (two) braces that I purchased for this project already showed up - so it pleases me to let the reading public know here that at least this company here is extremely serious about their business - the brace you see on top of the picture (which has been shown around in this thread already) is not necessarily super expensive - though it does come in incomplete format (in the sense that, it's a tailhook brace, it needs another bit to be completed, which is the actual tailhook that has been around for a while and looks very good and it's very functional - very sturdy piece of polymer as well - not pictured here as I didn't receive it just yet - I purchased the now out of stock Tailhook MOD1C, the compact one, which looks way better on an MP5 build than the larger, common Tailhook Mod1). This brace is a KES MP5 pattern which comes at USD280 without the above mentioned tailhook piece (for an additional USD140). Definitely pricey - but I do like it way better than any SB tactical option at this point. Many of us are waiting on their shipping so I like to keep this thread updated as I anticipate receiving a firearm pattern I've wanted since I was a kid Attached File |

The other was a 7.5", stainless Super Redhawk in .44 mag. I'm largely a glock and AR shooter, but still have a strong affection for my first loves. I'm an office guy most days, so the smith has desk duty. While its still a pleasure to shoot, the weight and lack of a weapon light dissuaded me from keeping it as a carry gun. @fishkepr |
