The “Big Red One” has received orders to deploy to Iraq for a one year tour. The 1st Infantry Division Headquarters, based out of Fort Riley, Kansas will be the first division headquarters to deploy to Iraq since the withdrawal in 2011, and will consist of about 500 soldiers. They will deploy in late October and will hold positions in Baghdad, Kurdistan, and possibly other areas not currently being declared by the CENTCOM. http://www.funker530.com/obama-putting-boots-on-the-ground-in-iraq/ |

Of course he is, as he said he was not going to.
The maxim of, whatever he says, the opposite is what he will do holds true. |

Great, now we can pay to rebuild bases that we abandoned earlier in the administration. Wonder which donor will get the contracts...

get in your track and follow me, I am the mechanized infantry.......... What upsets me most about this is the fact that we had (in the not too distant past) secure faclilities and infrastructure there, but we walked away from it. Now we will have to fight to retake those areas (as this war expands) and good kids will die in the process. This is like watching two trains getting ready to crash into each other, but not being able to do anything about it. God help us.

I'm seeing a buffoon who is so blatantly incompetent that he simply has no fucking idea what he's doing. This nation is at risk and I mean that in all seriousness. We may not survive the next 2 years under this idiot. |

The Filthy Piece of Trash-In-Chief will never be held accountable for any lie that spews from his punk mouth.
What with a broken election system were are the pissed off Generals when we really need a coup d'état? I swear they could do no worse. |

Settle down all, he is a community organizer. He knows what he is doing.

You put some ground troops in,
You pull all ground troops out, You put more ground troops in, Then you flounder all about... |

I'm inclined to believe the situation in the mid-east is a LOT more serious/urgent than we have been told.

We just have the unfortunate timing to be alive when the worst ever is in office. Don't be a drama Queen. |

Also: SOMETHING Is wrong- Bad wrong- to get this idiot to commit troops.

Boots on the ground in Iraq and Holder leaving on the same day.
What other shenanigans are going on that we are missing while the media stays busy with those two headlines? I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for a gun ban or amnesty between now and Christmas. Never waste a crisis..... |

If true just wait until Iran starts killing our guys again via the militias.....
Iran doesn't want us there because they see this whole thing as a huge opportunity to gain territorial influence. I think they think that they can handle ISIS and other groups in Iraq and Syria themselves over the long term. |

It will be when one of these companies is over run somehwere because they don't have enough support and Obama is golfing and not taking calls. 500 soldiers holding positions in "Baghdad, Kurdistan, and possibly other areas not currently being declared by the CENTCOM" means small, vulnerable groups of soldiers all over the damn area. |
