Put a cancel payment on your checking/bank account linked to PayPal and PP can not take out money.

If CC are linked notify them

I hate these new high-tech payment systems. So far, I just use snail mail and my checkbook. People have been having problems with Paypal for a long time. F- them

just got off the phone with them. they tried telling me that a $4 and $5 charge made for podcasts 6 days ago and debited out of my account 5 days ago still hasn’t cleared. ACH only takes 3 days, which i reminded them of but they doubled down saying they haven’t gotten their money yet and that i’ll be able to close it when they clear.

when asked why i wanted to close my account i told them they didn’t meet my acceptable use policy.

Had to cancel some preauthorized payments on mine which had to be done one by one but then I was able to close it easily.

No they won't. They'll tell you your account is suspended and continue to email you because the account is still there.

Has 6 accounts (a few for different small businesses that I have) that I closed down.

Fuck them.

ETA: Only on one of them did they ask why I wanted to close my account. Weird.

Mine shows a pending charge when I tried to close. It's for a pair of Under Armor shoes that were bought in August, deducted in August. They said I had a subscription to Under Armor. I called Under Armour and they said they have no idea what PayPal is talking about, my shoes are paid for and I don't have anything else with them.

A couple of years after buying something through Groupon, I bought a Costco membership through Groupon. It processed as an ongoing subscription without going through the usual 'do you agree to this transaction' steps. Didn't even tell me the sale went through.

Cancel all automatic payments, cancel all your cards and accounts tied to it and see if it lets you cancel then.

Mine would not let me cancel due to a pending payment. Was about 8 days after the purchase before it fully cleared. I called trying to cancel a couple days ago and they said they would monitor my account and cancel it as soon as the payment cleared. I logged in today and was finally able to cancel it myself.

I wasn't aware that there was law or rule that says ACH has to clear in 3 days. I googled it just now and there are answers from different sites all over place, but most say normal processing is 3-5 business days. So 6 days ago would mean it has been 4 business days.

Not siding with paypal, fuck what they said in their policy change. I don't think there is anything that says that an ACH must clear in 3 days though.

Mine keeps telling me I can't close it because I have a pending transaction. Last transaction was last Friday, just before I heard about their latest dirty deed. I'll keep trying every day until I can cancel it.

They wont let me close my business account. So I closed all my linked accounts, Changed the name on the paypal to, Guns and Assault Rifle Co. Then I sent this through contact us. My business has changed to selling only guns and assault rifles and standard 20rd magazines. So I have no use for this account and paypal hates me and I hate them back. it seems best that this account needs to be closed.
Lets see if this works

It brings a tear to my eye seeing so many wake up to what I realized about 10yrs ago. I largely dumped the EE because so many wanted PF-FF. Yeah not playing that stupid, ignorant, seller advantaged, nonrefundable game.

But hey, I’m just a stupid 13’r, & all that fucking nonsense, while the rest of you continued to feed the beast that you are now fleeing.

I was going to sell my eberylstock gunslinger backpack on ebay but it seems like too much of a pain. It used to be my hurricane bag, just in case but I never needed to use it.

Interesting, I had a transaction on Monday and mine just closed perfectly fine.
