You can only pick one and tell why it is your favorite.

Mine is the C5 Galaxy. Nothing like having an amazing transport and awesome power.

UH1H (V) Huey.  I crewed one for 13 years in the National Guard.  It's really a living legacy of aviation.

FPNI!!!!!!  the mofo Tomcat!!!

but I also think the F-16 is sexy.

3rd choice was a toss up between the F-4 phantom and the F-22 Raptor

the Japanese loved the Phantom, they always had cool paint schemes throughout the years, these are final flight paint jobs

Cuz nothing has been able to shoot one down.

And cuz I worked on them in the Air Force, and got incentive rides in them.

I could never just pick one.

I was watching a video about the P38.  On long range missions in the Pacific the planes were returning with empty fuel tanks.  A couple pilots crashed trying to land when the engines stopped.  Charles Lindbergh, the first pilot to cross the Atlantic, was sent as an advisor.  He came up with an idea to correct the fuel usage and went on a mission when the pilots didn't believe him.  The aircraft began returning with fuel to spare.

With the tail connecting the twin booms, a pilot couldn't just bail out without getting cut in two.  The had to wing walk past the engines before jumping.

RA-5C Vigilante, Specifically RVaH-9 Hoot Owls

Father’s Squadron and Jet even matched his lpg book against a couple of the museum planes.

Second place tie

Grandfather flew PBY Catalina as a WW2 Squadron Commander.
Other grandfather Bombardier on B29 then Navigator on a B36.

MiG-21MF "Fishbed-J." One of my Dad's cousins flew them in the Hungarian Air Force in the 70s. Uncle Ferenc is a tough old bastard, and I'm sure that if shit had gone hot, he probably would've made it out with a few kills painted on his bird.

uhhh, can you elaborate on the wing walking part?  is that after they ditched and they jumped in the water/raft?

head first over the side of cockpit or inverted/drop free or high speed vacuum are the ones I've heard of.  But my wife's grandpa did the wing walk thing after ditching when running out of fuel...
