Skyraider. I got to sit in one when I was a Cub Scout on a field trip. Later I got to see them at work outside Saigon in '68.

F-111 because they were constantly flying over the house during my formative years. I always thought the sonic booms were pretty cool. Also, because dump and burn.

Quoted: Skyray. Because it looks way cool. I've been a fan ever since I built the 1/72 Scale Airfix kit back around 1977 or so. Have not tried the newer Tamiya kit in the same scale and 1/48 yet, but, I have a few in my stash. I may try a kitbash version with a J79 just for giggles, since they did build a couple with that motor. Will make for a great "What If" kit/display. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/79948/Skyray7-2064228.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/79948/Skyray4-2064230.jpg View Quote Me too. I love the ferd. Such a pretty plane with its swooping lines and moth like wings. I would have loved to see the F5D go in service. |
