Shelter rescue, was about 8-9 months old at the time of rescue.  Have had her 9 years so far and is my wife's baby.  We think she is a shepherd and retriever mix.

He is a complete mudpug. Any opportunity to dive in face-first, and he’s all over it.

I like the Afghan. There's some really good personality there.

That pic is courtesy of @L_JE. Simo’s a Borzoi. Similar to an Afghan, but much larger and with a different coat. Still loves to chase things, though.

Borzoi.  Yeah, there's just no way I can remember that.  I'll file him under sortofanAfghan.

My dog is a Central Appalachian Fruitbat.

Their historical range is in the Virginias, but they are known to range as far north as New Hampshire and as far south as Alabama.

Here he is in his native habitat …

They are getting big, and loud, and smelly. Can't get them all to hold still unless they are sleeping. Will be 3 weeks old tomorrow.

Sorry for spoiling the thread, I didn't want to start a new one crying about my woes, this seemed easier.
Get on with life and enjoy the most loyal animals on the planet while you have them, they give you all they possibly can.
A terrible conundrum IMO.

The End.

I'm so sorry to hear that.

We take them in, give them the best life we can, and in the end, give them the best death possible.

It hurts forever.

My new to me rescued Malinois. Gov't was going to put her down but a friend asked if we were interested in helping out. His name is Roman. So far the first 24 hrs has been very hopeful.

I also have my Czech/German Shepherd goof ball. Her pops was a City PD dog. Yep, she didn't get any of his skills but is one helluva fly catcher! I'll add photos of her later.
