Quoted: Cash option (which i’ll be taking) is $410M. View Quote Cash option is before taxes. It's just the actual cash amount the Lottery has on hand to give you (the much larger "jackpot" is what you'd get if you let them "invest" the cash for you and pay you over 30 years, which, unless you just cannot trust yourself with so much money, is a sucker's option).....after which they apply taxes. Gross Prize Cash: $410,200,000 - 24% federal tax - $98,448,000 - Add'l federal taxes due (37% final rate) - $53,288,955 = $258,463,045 |

I'm in, but not for one of these cheap PSA ARs... Is it too soon to start ordering accessories for the new AR that's coming my way?

My state laws are based on religion and gambling is forbidden.
So much for freedom. They really need it though because their school campuses are absolute crap compared to states that do have a lottery. I've done lots of work in schools in several states. They hate the lottery so much that even at the Indian casinos it's slot machines only and no table games. |

I read this somewhere, did the math, and damn, it’s right:
Imagine you had a roulette wheel so big that one side was in Miami and the other side was in Vancouver, Canada. Each number slot on the wheel is one inch wide. Pick one slot, spin the wheel, and toss the marble. If it lands in the slot you picked, you win. That’s the same as your chance of winning the jackpot. |
