So many uptight, upset, at each other’s throat, negative Nancy’s around GD lately.
So how about some pictures of animals that are best friends to even the grumpy old bastards. You can post pics of your weird little ankle biters if you want. Hell, let’s even be nice to the crazy cat people and let them in too. These are my two favorite assclowns. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Lol, no. Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. It’s an actual recognized dog breed.

I'd have to put blaze orange on that to hopefully keep my neighbors from shooting it.

None of mine are primitive, and it would take a while to get pics posted of all of them. So, here's Jackson, another Semper Fi rescue, in honor of Joker1.

Quoted: A hybrid from 1955 is "primitive"? LoL.. Call me when your dog is mentioned in the bible too ;-) See Proverbs 30-31, King James Version (1611) https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/12179/65290BAF-417F-480B-8B6C-A81C1DB5B9D3-2358248.jpg View Quote Primitive as in close to wolves. I think northern sled dog breeds and even GSD fall into that category as well. Side note, one of my buddies brought back a dog from Lebanon when we deployed there in 2017. The Veterinarian said it was a Canaan Shepard. Another guy picked up an Iraqi trash puppy last trip there in ‘19. Good dogs. |

Specifically bread to look like lions when full grown, the symbol of the German city of Leonberg, around 1840.
This is an old puppy photo. Think this one was about a year old when this picture was taken. Attached File |

I like to hear the backgrounds and different purposes of the dogs, guys are posting here. Edit, my Tamaskan is a breed not yet recognized. Too many shitty breeders out there doing their own thing to standardize it yet. But he’s a GSD, husky, malamute, sarloos and CSV mix. Many have Samoyed blood as well. |

akitas, chows, shiba inus are a different branch of dogs that are a lot more primitive. you can tell by their behavior and the fur. they aren't like the dogs we have.

Before any of you morons that think otherwise try to convince others differently, ALL dogs bite....
When you accept that fact you become a responsible owner... |

Quoted: We have three dogs, the least demanding and easiest to be around is the Rottie. The blue heeler is annoying as all hell. "According to the FCI Standard, the Rottweiler is considered to be one of the oldest dog breeds. Its origin goes back to Roman times. These dogs were kept as herder or driving dogs. They marched over the Alps with the Roman legions, protecting the humans and driving their cattle." https://i.imgur.com/IT39F0b.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/IH7pzls.jpeg View Quote There is no better breed than the Rottie. So loving, smart, and protective. I've had a couple and will always have one. I love knowing if I am away on business I have the ultimate private security to protect my wife. The ONLY downside to the Rottie is they are gas emitting maniacs. My first one was 145 lbs of wannabe lap dog, that would kill someone if they needed killing. I met his parents at my kids daycare. The first time I showed up to pick up my son, my son ran up to me and I picked him up.... bad move.... both Rotties came and sat down a couple feet from me, growling until I let "their" child down. The owners came in and let them know I was ok, and then they ccame and sniffed me and accepted loves. I told them if they ever have pups, I will pay whatever the cost to have pick of the litter. I came home one day with Zeus. The one I have now is a 130 lb love bug that will turn you in to a chew toy if you threaten his momma. He was imported from Serbia. His dad was Grand Champion in herding there. Today, Thor, is a big lover. He's a little standoffish when meeting a male human for the first time, which we attribute to when he was in quarantine. We think he was a bid abused by men. So whenever we have new people come over, we just tell them that the husband/boyfriend has to hug the wife at the door, and ignore Thor until he starts pawing at him or if/when he grabs his favorite toy and drops it as his feet. View Quote I used to have a Korean Jindo. Same line and temperament, just more of a medium size (50-60 lbs). Great dog, but very independent, intelligent, and single person dog. My girlfriend used to try and give her commands, she'd turn and look at me with a look on her face that said "should I listen to her? Do I have to?" |
