Unlike ketchup, if used sparingly with mustard on a hot dog it adds an unusual flavor.

Almost everything threaded needs either Loctite, Teflon tape, pipe dope or anti-seize. Choose wisely.

I just used it for scope rings first one I've ever tried it on and now I see this

I use blue Loctite regularly. I have a tube of red Loctite that I put a piece of masking tape on and wrote "DO NOT USE" on, so when I do use it, I take a minute to think "Do you REALLY want to do this"?

Which Loctite? 222, 242, 262, sleeve retaining, pipe sealant......??????

Agreed.

Loctite is wimpy.  Smear the threads with JB Weld, then torque to spec

Will not come loose.

I'd rather see blue loctite used where it isn't necessary than not used where it is. But no, it really doesn't need to be on every fastener.

There's actually around 10 different "blue" Loctite products.

2400, 084, 083, 243, 2422, 242, 248, 249, 2432

I use elmers all purpose for most of my loctite applications.  Stays put under use and comes free when a screw driver is applied.

Installed an RMR on my FN 509T exactly per instructions with no loctite.

Damn thing nearly fell off after two range sessions.

It has loctite on it now.

Blue on rings, mounts, m-lok parts, receiver extensions (with staking), red on gas block set screws, red or rockset on flash hiders. Blue also on set screws on many machined receivers that use set screws for small parts instead of roll pins.

Most will say blue but I’d go with 222MS purple or Vibra-TITE VC-3.

It's a Sig, their grip screws are made to come out. Why do you think every P238/P938 with Hogue grips has one screw on each side?

No amount of loctite can help you.

When I do use loctite on something I prefer to use the paste version.  It stays put  and doesn't make such a mess.
