On the other hand, I like pissing off the gop-e and making them nervous about maintaining their bullshit status quo crap that keeps them from avoiding issues they should avoid (social shit) while ignoring stuff they should not ignore (gun rights, lower taxes, illegals). Meh... the GOP has been given two big gifts here.
One, SCOTUS took gay marriage off the table a year ahead of the 2016 election season. They could use the opening to double-down on the "It's the economy/jobs stupid!" like Clinton and the DNC did to Bush in '92, and this time it would actually be TRUE, and they could score some majorities in battleground states where social liberals think the GOP can't "hurt them", but they do damn well need a job.... Two. All this Trump noise means he's peaking early. Honestly though, we should be able to at least work out a deal where his fake POTUS runs have to switch parties every other four years to at least keep it somewhat fair.

You can see the same thing on the lefty side with Sanders. Both parties have abused the trust of their base for so long and have just barely made even mediocre efforts to live up to what they claim to represent, that they are both very open to charges of hypocrisy and cynicism. Sanders and Trump are two sides of the same coin, Neither one of them is genuinely interested in supporting the base they are appealing to, they simply recognize an opportunity and exploit it. From an entertainment value, it is great! We finally get to see someone say the things to the GOP that we have all wanted to say for ages now. And it is hard not to feel some love for someone who does that. At the same time, the guy doing that would sell us down the river in less than a heartbeat. He has given massive amounts of money to Bloomberg. He has supported gun control in the past when it seemed more convenient to his business. Donald Trump = Bernie Sander of the GOP. |

What the real message that should be taken from this is: People are sick and tired of the same old, establishment shit sandwich where nobody will take a real stand on conservative values, nobody will do anything that doesn't benefit their corporate masters or move the (R) party further to the left, nobody will just leave our rights alone, and nobody will just fucking shake things up. People don't want more of the same and the only thing that's a different offering right now is Trump. When the country gave Republicans a majority and they immediately - and I mean fucking immediately - gave Obama's administration every god damned thing he demanded, then that swung the door wide open for a guy from the "outside" to come in and put a foot in some political asses. And I'll just add that the arguments against him so far don't even touch his message or talking points. Instead, everyone just says "Trump is egotistical, Trump is bad, Trump is blah blah blah". You want to argue against him? You had better find some fucking substance to do it with because right now, everything you throw his way is bouncing right off. Every time people see that happen, their respect for him will grow a little bit. That's why the (R) party is shitting themselves and quite frankly, I believe the (D)'s are too.

So you say "few even like him"....well if by few you mean multiple page threads with over half the people in them saying how they would vote for him, I am not sure that qualifies as "few even like him". This fucking dolt says one thing about illegal immigration and all of a sudden he is the conservative savior. Let me ask you this....how many times have you and everyone else here blasted BHO as a "community organizer with zero experience necessary to run this country"? I was just making the point that A LOT of PROMISES were made. The voters delivered.....and the fucking Establishment GOP has done nothing but broken it off in their asses for it. Fuck them all. I merely enjoy the fact that 1. He makes the fuckers squirm and piss in their tighty whiteys when they think that they might get put off the gravy train and 2. He says what needs to be said. Whether he believes a single fucking word that comes out of his mouth- I don't care. Do you really believe ANY OF THEM DO? So what's the difference?
