Every once in a while someone will try to sell one claiming its a "Texas Ranger gun" but they were issued to investigators and administrative staff in multiple divisions. Cool collector's pieces but I worked with a few retired Rangers that were at DPS when P239's were issued and none of them carried it.

I'm not old, but I've often carried such a thing, specifically a Star BM, so I don't have a poll option for me.  It was inexpensive, my Hi Power needed work before it could be carried again (new safety), and it works.  In California it's also a go-to just because I don't want to permanently lose a Hi Power to LE, which is a big risk here.
