I read "AC-556" and got excited there for a sec... View Quote Ronnie Barrett had a silent partner for quite a few years. He had a very impressive full auto collection. The AC556 was a lot of fun to fire. He had a really nice Spencer carbine collection also. Got to fire a few rounds out of one of his shooter grade rifles. I loved firing that. |

I bought one a few months ago for $450 OTD. Now the rifle has over 1000 rds through, using only steel case ammo with no problem. I figure if anything breaks Ruger will take care of it any way.
Trigger could have been lightly, but for what it is I don't mind putting a lot of rounds through. No hate here! |

I'm new, why do we hate ruger? View Quote and before there were so many news outlets, so that people had basically only 3 options for news...ABC, NBC, or CBS...especially national nightly news... Bill Ruger was interviewed by some talking head anchor person...somebody like a Tom Brokaw, or Dan Rather, or Ted Koppel... During the interview, Bill Ruger, on natiinal fucking TV, said this "No honest, simple civilian needs more than ten rounds." ... (I am paraphrasing here...) A quick google search yielded this: Attached File And yes, I get it...he is long since dead...and the company has moved past his Fudd stance. |

Bill Ruger was a gun grabbing, AWB supporting, standard capacity magazine restricting asshole.
I guess people are ok with Ruger now. |

I thought Ruger made decent firearms, it was their stance on some issues that put them in the doghouse on ARF. I just bought a 3d printer, but I'll have to see how long this is going on while I save up some more scratch. |
