looks like psa will be keeping me broke this year.
But FJB is doing a great job of that anyway. |

Winchester has a new 22lr lever gun called the Ranger and Browning is finally bringing 20 gauge to the new A5 series.

Quoted: @JK-919 I saw on Reddit this morning basically a CS with island front sight. A bunch of people were mad it wasn't ported, and a bunch more argued it was silly to do on a pistol that will wear optics anyway.... So I'm also hoping for a bigger CS, mostly so I can get the smaller one this year but with more/higher capacity mags for travel. Quoted: Pain to mount optics, no lrbho, trigger sucks, mag changes suck, and obviously the safety View Quote Plenty of good optics mounts. Lrbho has been discussed. The trigger isnt as bad as people say. There are also more than a few different options now. The only problem with the mag change is the narrow magwell, and they make funnels for that. The safety, again you have options. If all you do is shoot ar's, the MP5 will feel clumsy. But if you actually spend time with the gun, you'll understand why the MP5 is so revered. If you're looking to improve on it, you need to be looking at .300blk sbr's. Not incremental improvements for a weapon type that fell out of favor in the early 2000's |

It's basically a CS with an extra .5" added to the barrel, so 4" barrel. It has the same grip and mags as the CS, but it sounds like you can put the full size Stacatto grip on it if you want. Another way to put it, it's a C2 that uses the CS grip. $2,599 and it ships this summer. Kind of meh, but I'm glad they made it. I wish they did an XC version. |

I'm excited to see what DD does with the Hudson. Always thought it was an interesting design. Unfortunately those guys shot themselves in the wallet when they announced that the next version would fix all the gripes people had with the first version, but it was a couple years away.

Quoted: Seems like SHOT Show 2024 is going to be a big deal this year for the first time in a long time. I'm guessing a lot of manufacturers were sitting on new products and not releasing them due to manufacturing supply chain issues that were still in effect after COVID. So, we're going to see a lot of new stuff coming out. View Quote More like they realized that the gravy train was over amd they had to spend money to make money. An APC45 doesn't have the issue with ineffective subs that 300blk does .45 sub gun is still a PCC. 300BLK in SuperSonic is a rifle caliber and the subs (with decent quality projectiles) are lethal, with more energy and less drop at a longer range than a .45 ACP sub gun. |

Like many others have said in this thread, the coverage has become awful. Rushed 10 minute videos about the same 5 products with 9 minutes of forced banter and bullshitting, and 1 minute of interspersed info.
Is there anyone doing the old "Here's a long series of photos of new products with a one sentence description of each" thing anymore? Even something thats slightly similar? The best thing about it was that the smaller, niche, and more interesting stuff was covered during the show, and you didn't have to wait until a week later to hear about it. I get that these people won't get the clicks, likes, subscribers, and potential ad revenue from that format, but it really is so much easier to digest. |

Quoted: How? That's an absolute truckload of new products for one company in one year. I'm not sure even Ruger has ever dropped this much at once. The momentum of this company right now is incredible. Expanding the Dagger line by 3 calibers that all require significant engineering changes, introducing their first shotgun and bolt action rifle, introducing an MP7 clone in 5.7, and making PCC and Bullpup variants of the JAKL all at the same time is pretty wild. Not long ago, PSA was just some website where people went for cheap ARs. For them to go from that to this so quickly is astonishing and impressive. View Quote |

Will need to look at what PSA is teasing about. The 1854 S&W is interesting - but only a better review will see what it is actually bringing to the table over the Marlin. Fine wood and good bluing is great - but not going to sell much at their price point. The tactical completely misses the mark with me (and I like tactical lever actions). I don't exeptionally like the stock, I don't really want shiny stainless on a tactical, I don't really want an 18" barrel on a tactical. I do not especially mind the 336 ejection port on an 1894 patterned rifle, or putting in a sling stud on the barrel band - but not the greatest idea if you are going to shoot with a sling. Would need to put it on a scale, but the barrel looks like it has a heavier profile, and the ammo tube is probably heavier as well (but I do like that style loading, and do like that it has both styles of loading). Anyway, mostly my issue is the cosmetics, ugly front stock.
