That's Murica for you. The F-35 has come down in price quite a bit and after some growing pains performs pretty well. The acquisitions process needs fixed though to prevent that debacle from happening again.

It's not how fast the F-35 itself can go, it's how fast it's production line can go...

SU-57 screams look at the black smoke from my shitty, inefficient engines, just like my MiG and SU brethren.

Quoted: I'd rather say feed me some F-16s or F-15s over itz muh stelth bs. View Quote Glad to see you aren’t in charge of purchasing. The F35 had better performance, sensors and stealth than the older gen while being comparable in price with their latest production blocks. There is zero reason to buy new F16s if you have access to the F35 and the F15 is going to be a missile truck for the F35 sensors. |

Article fails to mention how much vodka it takes to produce a SU-57.

Those highly qualified personnel that he's referring to are paid an average of just $17,000 per year (as noted by the general director of UAC, Yuri Slyusar, in September). View Quote The fucking janitors at Lockheed Martin probably make twice what the highly skilled craftsmen building the Felon make. |

No chips, no Buck Rodgers, no SU-57.
AMSL and Zeiss are not Russian and not Chinese. |

I bet the Russian assembly line is less annoying to work procedure-wise.

Quoted: I'd rather say feed me some F-16s or F-15s over itz muh stelth bs. View Quote If you can't see it, you can't kill it. The AF just cut procurement of the F-15EX by 44%. Hint: Cheaper is not better. A Gen 4 missile bucket exists to extend the Gen 5, F-35 combat envelope. All sales points to the F-15EX are fading as other countries are getting into the Gen. 5 game. Most countries don't need extra long-range or super duper speed. They do need survivability and versatility. In uncontested air space, there is an argument for a less capable B team fighter but in contested air space or Anti-Air threats send in the A Team F-35. |

View Quote From what I understand, the F-15EX sales are a thing because of two reasons: A. The F-35 isn't a direct replacement of the F-15. The F-15's mission is different than the F-35's. and B. Even if you discount "A," the line for the F-35 can't keep up with the amount of planes it has to replace due to the older frames aging out, so it makes sense to buy some brand-new F-15s that are even more capable than the current older ones. |

Keep selling those Lockheed’s!
Moms still drawing my Dads retirement, need that company flush! |

Production SU-57 built: 6 (one crashed, only 5 flying)
Production F-35 built: 850+ GD: The F35 sucks, bring back the Sopwith Camels, dur hur dur. F35 hate on here is truly irrational. |

The SU’s look awesome and so are the paint jobs.
I’m sure the f35 is better but it’s ugly as fuck! |

I’d love to see some US company get ahold of an SU-57 and strip it down and mod it with American parts and equipment…….. the Israelis would have a field day with them
