An AR under each arm loaded with 30's and a belt with more 30's in pouches and yell at them saying don't fucking come through my yard again, this is your only warning!

Any neighbors step up and tell them to gtfo?
Neighborhood watch sign |

Quoted: View Quote Sort of, if you take a look at the picture above. That's the vantage point from a small trail coming out of the woods. The trail goes about a mile to an apartment complex and major street. The obvious route is taking a left and walking through my neighbor's yard. Now they're coming all the way around through mine. |

The property isn't really setup for a fence, it backs up to a nature preserve and includes half a pond. The property also includes the land about 10 ft past the tree line. That's my truck in the center. https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/15439813_10153957171230899_4651387569209530415_n.jpg?oh=e38563f0ec72a9801deb0076448432d3&oe=58EEF3E4 View Quote I'd say you're fucked in the trespassing department, other than leaving a mean dog out on a chain. |

Get your hands on a booby trap simulator set video camera to record watch the hilarity unfold.

Electric fence Big ass dog plus invisible fence Poison candy Can you shoot trespass violators after dark? |

You can chase them down the street with a baseball bat with your ar slung over your back just in case
When you catch them, you know the drill |

Make the "trail through the woods" unpleasant or impassable. Lots of road kill heads nailed to trees and candles and shit. They be gettin skaid!
|

they make motion detecting sprinklers... people market them to scare off deer. seems like this would deter some trespassers.

You might also want to think about a sign declaring that a dog is invisibly / radio fenced. It doesn't really matter if you have a dog. The prospect of a nominally restrained guard dog adds deterrence. However, my general feeling is that signs are of limited value. A complete perimeter fence with driveway gates would be preferable. If that's not an option make the path through your property inconvenient e.g fence the edge of the property from street to lake to limit the convenience of passing through. Be sure to point cameras at any pedestrian channel that you create. |

They are all good kids trying to turn their lives around...
Are they walking through your property like a short cut from school? Personally, since you've already had your truck rummaged through, I would hesitate to escalate to Defcon 3 and catch them in the act with an ad attitude. If your truck hadn't been screwed with, I would get my cameras running and wait.... with a bad attitude. |

The back of my yard is wooded and kids cut through my yard all the time. I've put up No Trespassing signs...only to find them torn down the next day or so.
I sure wish I could hang fish hooks or rig some flashbangs |

A huge chain and a giant stainless steel water bowl beat to hell. Run the chain around the corner so that it looks like a massive dog is just out of sight. An observant perp will see it and think twice about coming.
The Ring security door bell is also nice. I have one at my house, and get notice on my phone that someone is in my driveway. I can interact with them via voice too. I just sign on and ask the person "you looking for something?" I even answer the door for UPS and direct them to drop boxes in the back of the house on the porch as I am "stuck in a cast and can't come out right now." |
|
This should serve as a warning to all of those who will buy a house in the future, make sure you can fence your property if it doesn't have one to prevent something like this. I wouldn't have bought or rented a house set-up like that. When we were looking for a house a few years ago, security was my top priority, that yard would have been a deal killer for me. Hope you can find a reasonable solution that doesn't cost too much. Nice camera picture quality!

I prefer subtly at first, a sign which reads:
NOTHING ON THIS PROPERTY IS WORTH YOUR LIFE. Posted in an area where you know the trespassers will see it. |
