After two years of legal wrangling and a huge pile of money my friend actually was able to purchase and bring to the US Rossi's and Haydens factory moto GP bikes. Unfortunately part of the agreement states that they can never actually be ridden, by anyone, ever but you should just hear what they sound like sitting still! The startup procedure alone is more complicated than that of a small aircraft. https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xat1/v/t1.0-9/10516586_10204258588928054_872613190089422841_n.jpg?oh=da70a0d50c67522d74b997122e45d92a&oe=56467965 https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xat1/v/t1.0-9/10417643_10204259158902303_2143376481585425625_n.jpg?oh=4f2d47069704243212a413527c839d28&oe=563CD7FB View Quote Good lord. So, what exactly is that nondescript, pedestrian-looking bike in the OP? It certainly isn't as interesting as this design: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcycles/2015/2015-Yamaha-VMAX4.jpg gpz900r one of the first real sportbikes, one of the fastest bikes of its time as well. Also top gun suckas. The original Kawasaki Ninja. The 900 Ninja. Also know as the ZX900-A1. In the USA it was never called the GpZ900, Kawasaki USA wanted to distance it from the air cooled two valve GpZ bikes it was making at the time so it became the 900 Ninja. It was a toss-up between the GpZ750 Turbo and the 900 Ninja when talking quarter mile and top end. It depended on the rider for the most part. PeeWee Gleason could get the most out of either bike and got them into the high 10's in the standing quarter mile. |

About the ARIEL Square Four I remember my Dad talking about these. He bought a Honda 750 Four with the Vetter fairing, and his buddy had a Norton 750 Commando. Neat old bikes. |
