I was good until I saw the rider on it.  Looks like the rider was an afterthought.  I'm over it.  Sexy, but that may be the most uncomfortable looking ride I've seen in years.

I'm still seriously kicking around the idea of picking up one of the two wheel drive Ural's.  Neat bikes, but  rather maintenance intensive, it seems.

I have a completely different take on what's sexy, I suppose, but I get a tingle in the pants when I see a KTM 690 in rally trim, not some showboat cruiser, or a trellis-framed Italian bike. They do nothing for me.

I know it's goofy looking, but like an AR15 it's completely a weapon of function, aesthetics just don't apply and that makes it wicked to me.

The GPz900 was groundbreaking in that it was the first of their sport bikes to use liquid cooling, and heralded the successful Ninja line... but the bike itself had weird styling, odd lines, and an overweight appearance.

Everyone (except you) was glad to see it go.

"Sexy" motorcycles have to meet a strict criteria:
-- it must give you a boner when you sit on it
-- It makes you cum in your pants when you hit second gear

And it must stand the test of time...

The startup procedure alone is more complicated than that of a small aircraft.

Can you post a video of the start up?

I don't actually expect to ever see one being ridden on the street, much like I've only ever seen the NR750 at the Barber Museum and have seen exactly one RC45 ridden on the road in 20 years. They will virtually all end up in collections or oil sheiks' garages but I doubt Honda will actually produce nearly as many as they have stated. To say that a $180k motorcycle that can't even really be raced is a niche market is a tad of an understatement.  Jay Leno will perhaps have one, maybe Tom Cruise so I guess there's a good chance to see one in Southern CA,maybe not so much everywhere else.

This, but my first response was "dominate what?". Some guy who has the money to buy that and ride it in the mountains or canyons one day where all the other sportbikers go. Then another guy on old Kawasaki EX 500 or so clapped out shoebox is gonna go around him in a corner like he's not even there. I have seen that happen first hand and wondered why the EX500 guy has to be so poor. Funny how things are.

That is actually KR's 1984 Daytona only 0W-69 680cc square four. The 0W-69s were built for Roberts and Lawson to make sure that Yamaha would continue its unbroken streak of Daytona 200 wins.

Roberts made it 13 in a row.

5 bikes I never get tired of just gazing upon
Manx Norton.- beautiful simplicity
Guzzi V7 Sport,1976 model in green
Britten -I spent a full hour looking at it Barber
RC30-still has a presence and incredible quality that's still unmatched in any current sportbike .
Any Yamaha 2 stroke production racer or GP bike, the entire lineage was phenomenal. The exception to prove the rule were the weird droopy arsed 250s in the late 90s.

We did a track day at Barber last year for our big vacation and it was amazing. The funny thing about this picture is I have an RZ350 and Daytona Special but sure as hell can't go into an art museum and say "I've got a Warhol too". Motorbikes are way cooler anyway.

The banking of Daytona they use to display the modern racers with the Britten at the center is almost a religious shrine to me
