Probably not a bad idea, unfortunately. Biden would be more than happy to permanently close businesses like SG ammo and violating sanctions would be a good enough excuse.

Not a surprise. Joe did that.
Being out of ammo to sell is being out of business. |

I don’t think he was that bad during sandyhook but he’s still higher than most places. I have wrote sgammo off and will not purchase from them again |
|
|
He purchased it for resale and he is not selling it now?

Could have seen that coming. Sam's a smart guy and the coming war will be hell on the ammo market even if we are not involved.

I got no problem with him adjusting prices to match the market, but I hate how he won’t sell certain calibers to my zip code in Texas.

He also has a history of almost going out of business due to glut. Quoted: If he puts it up for sale now it'll just get bought up by flippers. I'd rather him make the money on it than some random dickhead. View Quote Whatever his choice is, he's trying to stay competitive and make money. That's the point of any business. If the sanctions end tomorrow, and everything is flooded with bulk Russian ammo he'll have to sell at a loss. If prices go up to a million dollars a round, he'll have to figure that out. If the government deems selling it is illegal, he takes a 100% loss on inventory. That's risk, that's his decision that's business. |

They (US Customs) were honoring outstanding imports in place to deliver in the future that was cut off last year.
I'm assuming any import allowances under those contracts going forward will be "Kaput. " I sure hope not. |

Look at ammo as stock.
Would you sell your stock at a low price of you know it will be worth much more in the near future? |
|
I don't blame him. I'd pile it up in my basement and keep it for myself, if I was him.

Anyone who says price gouge about any product at any time in any place is a faggot of the utmost proportions.

I would assume Russian ammo sales are now done - perminantly. Here is hoping your shooting plans aren't reliant on cheap Russian ammo at ready supply.
I have doubt that even the grandfathered permitted stuff already on the water, gets a pass |

Business 101:
You sell your goods based on what replenishment will cost not based on what you paid for it. He has no idea if or when or how much cost he can restock his Russian sourced ammo if the POTATUS decides to ban Russian ammo. |

How do you think price discovery occurs? |

I don't care if sgammo sells it for $5 a round on gunbroker as collector ammo in a few years. They don't owe us selling their last stock in the supply chain.
No different than sitting on some pre-86 transferables for a while in the 90s, like Stemple, etc. I hope Sgammo continues to exist and sells ammo, be it domestic, russian, or whatever. |

Price gouge it baby
There are hundreds with their cards ready to buy! |

I don't blame him. If Russian ammo is a sig % of his inventory and sales and sanctions rob him of that inventory in the future he's smart to squirrel away that inventory so he has something to sell later.
Doing so vs not doing so might mean the difference of staying in business vs. laying people off or going out of business. |
