"Price gouging", lol. Price gouging exists, but it's rare. Charging people dying of thirst $100 for a glass of water would be an example. Adjusting commodity prices according to market forces isn't that.

He sent out an email with some this morning. Prices weren't terrible. His site is now down.

Quoted: But SG isn't selling the hot dogs right now. They are holding onto them to sell when the other hot dog factories are actually burning down. Not even a close comparison. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: The market should set the price free of rumor and panic. A distributor or retailer spreading panic without any evidence or proof is a unethical sales tactic. Heres an example. A restaurant sells hotdogs. The owner gets an awesome deal on bulk hotdogs if he buys a lot more than usual, and to sell them all he lies to his customers and says the hot dog factory burned down and there won't be any more hotdogs in a week. If you like hotdogs, you better buy them now because this is your last chance. People go crazy, buy hotdogs by the box, freeze them, and keep them. The restaurant sells six times as many hot dogs as normal due to the demand. Do you think the restaurant owner committed a fraud? But SG isn't selling the hot dogs right now. They are holding onto them to sell when the other hot dog factories are actually burning down. Not even a close comparison. Better example would have been: Imagine, hypothetically, that a congresswoman that wasn't wealthy when she went into office, hypothetically, has become absurdly wealthy. Now imagine, hypothetically, that she has purchased extremely cheap stocks and you, hypothetically, purchase those same cheap stocks right behind her. Hypothetically, those stocks have earned record gains. Imagine next, hypothetically, that this fictional congresswoman, dumps all of that stock. Should you not be allowed to sell yours? Hypothetically??? And eat lots of ice cream? Hypothetically? |

My Heritage Armory has shipped. A little more than 24 hours from when I placed the order.
If it’s a scam site, they’re are working hard to keep up the pretense. Plus I’ll just do a chargeback if the order doesn’t actually arrive or show movement. For the price I paid for a couple cases, worth the risk of having to do a chargeback. |

Just got off the phone with the owner of heritage. If your order went through, you will be getting your ammo. There won't be any cancelled orders. The issue is that ups is only able to pick up so much from them each day. They are out of ammo but have a couple containers sitting in customs he's afraid will be held

I don’t really care. The guy notices a shortage is likely and sees an opportunity to increase his profit on an item he may not be able acquire for quite awhile. He can not make enough to offset losing the ability to restock for several months or longer.
If you don’t like the price don’t buy it. In this case it most likely matters little because that cheeper ammo is gong to be nonexistent. So sit on what you have or pay a premium to get to your goal. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: When the whole “we have 1.5 years of Russian ammo imports to go” turns out to be false, it’s going to yo be a shock to some folks. I can't believe anyone here waited til this week to stock up. You and me both. But here we are again. Another panic. I stated stocking back up a couple months ago. It was clear we were at a momentary lull in the now multi year ammo panic/shortage. So I bought about 5K rounds of assorted ammo and 5K more primers. I think it’s best to completely get over the idea that ammo is ever going back anywhere near what it was during salad days. |

I stopped buying from SGA a couple years ago. His prices are $50-100 higher per case compared to other vendors. His emails are annoying too between the doomer BS and him pretending to be selling ammo at cost.

Found 500 + 60 rounds of Wolf 5.56 steel case in a can way back in the Ammo storage room.
Figure it's time to retire & buy that country estate I've always wanted... Now that I can afford it with my windfall of "REAL Pre-Ban Russian ammo ..."... BIGGER_HAMMER |

There is a difference. I sure as fuck dont need anymore ammo, my ammo fort is decent sized. But I bought some more earlier in the week, planning another tower and maybe a drawbridge on my ammo fort. The last couple days I have been waffling on buying more 7.62x39. Dragged my feet until it was too late to get in on the Heritage deal |

The last couple days I have been waffling on buying more 7.62x39. Dragged my feet until it was too late to get in on the Heritage deal View Quote I hear you. For me, shooting a 7.62x39 AK is just an occasional range trip activity. I send much, much more 5.56 down range. 5.56 once fired brass is free for me, and once I’m at three load cycles, I have no problems letting go of it on the 4th. But with 7.62x39 brass is not cheap or easily available. So with the robust extraction on an AK, I don’t shoot very much brass case. Mostly just use brass case to load premium stuff like Gold Dots. So the several cases of 7.62x39 I’ve bought in the past couple weeks will round out my ammo fort to give me years of occasional AK range trips. I’m wondering if the whole paradigm of “7.62x39 = cheap steel case” is going to be a of the past. |
