I am by no means a good PRL shooter, in fact I'd say I'm below average. Lots of guys smoke me. It isn’t hard…if you know what you’re doing. My son started shooting prs with me when he was 15 & connects with targets out to 1k modestly reliably. But at the same time I’ve been to plenty of HTF shoots and CWs and watched arfcommers dump magazines at targets at 100 and never connect. So I think it’s pretty fair to say that 300 isn’t a chip shot for the average shooter. So, let’s say this was off the shelf steel cased import 7.62x39 ammo. You are crushing 200, let alone 300 yard shots of 2MOA or 1.3MOA with, generously, 3 MOa ammo? The plan here was (probably) to get Trump when he was on the green. This was going to be a 50 yards or less shot. IDK why everyone is debating the finer points of 7.62x39 at 300 yards. Obviously the SS walking one hole in advance blew his cover and his plan went to shit once shots were fired. It's possible the shooter wouldn't be able to see Trump from his vantage point until he was danger close. I don’t believe it's a given this guy was trying to pull a Mark Wahlberg on a can of stew. |
