Quoted: I'm pretty sure that Idris Elba has said he's too old to play the part. I think Tom Hiddelston could do it, but to many people would say "why is Loki playing James Bond?" Michael Fassenbender would be good, too, but the Brits would collectively shit themselves if a German played Bond. View Quote |

Quoted: So a trans man of color. Got it. :) Ya know, here we've been hoping that it would go to Idris Elba(can't think of anyone else who has better suave/James Bondness right now), but I think we're probably going to get Michael B Jordan instead. View Quote Idris is too old now. I’m guessing it might be Richard Madden. He’s the right age and the same height as Daniel Craig. Bodyguard was excellent. |

Craig Bond was worst Bond. Didn't like any of them, as it seems his entire tenure was a steady deconstruction of everything Bond stood for and fans loved.
I haven't seen this latest one, and probably won't. Better things to do. |

After watching Tom Hardy in Legend, I vote for him.

Did you know that there are people in the world who were once Executive Sales Managers, then become Branch Managers?
Staggering news, I know. |

I just read an article in "keep it tight" magazine that the next james bond will be played by Kumail Nanjiani.

Saw it last night. Even if Craig is retiring from the role I don't agree with the ending they went with.

I was really worried when they announced that the next 007 was going to be a woman, but I've heard that this one is actually pretty good. Bond still shoots and kills the shit out of a lot of people, so that's pretty cool I guess. I like the Craig movies so I'll check this one out, probably whenever it comes to DVD.

Quoted: How is it stupid? He retired, disappeared. They just reused a number for one of several 00 agents. James Bond is James Bond. But all the other agents can be whatever. People are freaking out stupid shit. The movie franchise is based on James Bond, not a simple number. View Quote Sounds like it would confuse their computer system. No not that 007 the other 007. Quoted: I liked the craig movies and watched them all in order in preparation for this back when it was first scheduled to come out. The second or third one (I think that was the worst one?) Was better in order Craig is getting old he's smart to walk I only saw some of the bad Roger Moore movies and some Pierce Brosnan movies. I think the Moore movies suffered from a time when "a guy works a long week and wants a laugh and a smile with his wife at the movies after dinner out" like the Dirty Harry movies always having gratuitous and sometimes nonsensical topless women scenes View Quote Ah yes…Pussy Galore |

I took no issue with another agent being designated as 007, and if you watched the movie you'd see, things can change |

That clip confused the hell out of me. I was thinking which one is Hardy, and who’s that other guy who looks like Hardy? I had to look up the cast. |

I saw it yesterday. It was more entertaining and cohesive than Quantum of Solace, better pacing than Spectre. A worthy Bond entry, though it didn't rise to greatness like Casino and Skyfall.
I didn't feel like I was sitting in front of a culture war, but I fully appreciate how this could be a Rorschach test that would allow the viewer to get out of it whatever angst they were bringing in. Those who felt like Bond bantering about his sexuality in Skyfall ("What makes you think this is my first time?" to Bardem) aren't going to see the series redeem itself here. Commentary on the ending follows below, though I'm trying to keep this general and non-spoilery. I appreciated the ending and the throwback lines and music to On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Unique for a Bond film, and it only worked in this case because it's a route they haven't gone across the entire franchise and because of Craig moving on from the role. |

Making Bond a women will kill the franchise, other supporting roles can be changed just not Bond. Take Felix Leighter the CIA agent, the role has been played by both white and black actors and yet that’s never mentioned.

Quoted: Who is mysterious "they"? Spectre? Lmao. The Bond movies are still being produced by the same people as always. Barbara Broccoli continued her dad's production of the movies, she's been producing and/or assistant directing them since 1983. Only thing that has changed is the scripts got a bit more serious, less campy than the Moore movies I grew up on. View Quote Going with Cary Joji Fukunaga and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. No real mystery at all. The thing I liked about the Craig Bond movies was the lack of the evil megalomaniac plotting the end of the world in some absurd way from his secret island lair. It works better in Austin Powers. |

Quoted: Ian Fleming characterized 007 as a dashing martini swilling, pussy slaying, spy who stopped at nothing to protect England and the world. Cubby Brocolli (and Harry Saltzman) knew this and made James Bond the most successful franchise in motion picture history. If his daughter Barbera f*cks up that simple formula .......... View Quote |

I am old enough....I watched the 007 movies in the theaters with Sean Connery as the best man to ever play 007....
Suffered through Roger Moore..... Not crazy about Craig |

Who gives a fuck, have not watched any 007 since Connery left.

Quoted: No time to die was a good movie to end Craig's story arc as Bond. Connery is still the king, but Craig was did a good job of taking Fleming's literary Bond to the screen. View Quote Pretty much this . I dislike it when Hollywood remakes a movie but puts an actor of color ( black ) in where the role was a white before . I don’t see the necessity of this . Ya I went there . One of my fav movies “ Omega Man “ becomes I am legend . |

I'm still pretty meh about it right now. Might change as I watch it more like Casino Royale. One of the things I liked about Craig's Bond, is the overarching story that tied them all together. 007 is just a number, so I wasn't upset about it being reassigned. Some of the humor in the first half-ish seemed forced and not very Bond-like. It even seemed like I was watching a live-action version of Archer in a few places. There were a lot of special effects that looked WAY too low-budget for a Bond film. Lea and Ana were, by far, the best pair of Bond girls ever. They were both gorgeous as all get out. I realllly disliked the newbie agent with Felix, but as it turned out, my dislike was well placed.
Spoiler-y stuff below Click To View Spoiler I was kinda saddened that he had to die instead of being able to be with Madeleine and Matilde, but I understand why they did it. Spectre was such a large force behind his story that it felt way too convenient to just wipe all of them out in a few minutes. At least they proved that Bond and Blofeld were NOT brothers as were suggested in previous movies. With her telling the daughter the story about him, it seems like they're setting up a possible spin-off revenge movie (or maybe she becomes a 00 in the future) for her. I'm sure the script was written and approved well before Wu-flu was on anyones radar, but the main plot device seemed rather topical.
