Shit. My daughters stationed at Navy Base San Diego.
She gonna get wet. Helicopter Squadron, wonder if they’ll evacuate or lock down. |
|
Oh no. Just watched a prediction of a Category 4 as it builds in the next days. The Inland Empire east of the Los Angeles basin could get 8 inches of rain from the storm. They don't get 8" of rain in some years. People that have built in the desert are going to see if their flood plans are accurate. |

South facing beaches should get some nice swells. Unfortunately the fire scars could get some flooding.

The article is saying 70mph winds. I’m in San Diego, I guess we’ll get it as bad or worse, should be interesting. I love rain, I love storms. I’m really looking forward to this, as long as shit doesn’t get damaged.

We've been having thunderstorms here all week, nothing like 100+ degrees and 100% humidity!
|
|
Will hopefully be a good stress test for my new roof!
But it will help to clean the poop off the streets downtown. |

So 70-80mph winds and some rain. Basically a Midwest thunderstorm.
I swear that place is full of the weakest people known to man. |
|
Just less than 70° F degree water temps off SD and LA.
Hurricane better bring a full 3mil wetsuit. |

Media will make a huge deal out of any damage and act like its never happened before and blame it on fossil fuel.

That is what I was thinking. They just mean actually hitting So. Cal. |

So Cal is where my mind states, but it's not my state of mind

Quoted: First since 1939? View Quote Yeah, that's a pretty suspect headline. I suppose if you split hairs, you could argue that is correct. But it's pretty much a climate change bullshit headline. Oh Teh Noes! List of CA hurricanes Oh Teh Noes Part Deux: AZ Desert Boogaloo Hurricanes |

Imagine if the storm dropped like 12" of rain...South CA would be 100% fucked

The cold current will kill it as it gets closer, so a storm is all it will be. The last Cat 1 was almost 150 years ago and hit SD.
There have been plenty of others to hit CA, but that doesn't make the exciting news nor would it make this storm seem newsworthy. |

Wish we could get all that rain. It’s been super hot and dry here in central tapas all summer.
