What's the over/under on the # of idiots living/playing in the SoCal concrete "rivers" who get washed out to sea?
How high will the surf storm surge be? |

Mud slides everyone forgets the mud slides. Let the fun begin weeee down to the ocean we go.

Hopefully most of the rain holds off until after 10AM on Sunday when I start driving back from the area. Drive sucks enough without rain, throw some wet roads into the mix and the tards just don’t know what to do.

Quoted: We actually had a hurricane hit in 1858. Usually tropical cyclones have become post- or extra-tropical by the time they get here. It happens every few years. We get a bunch of rain and lightning, mostly in the mountains and deserts. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: First since 1939? We actually had a hurricane hit in 1858. I could swear we got hit by a cyclone in the late 1990s. A big deal was made about the coming storm and it certainly was one of the two most intense storms, if not the most intense, I have experienced in SoCal; certainly it was the worst as far as sustained winds went. Some pretty heavy stuff was getting blown around; I remember that. |

Quoted: The cold current will kill it as it gets closer, so a storm is all it will be. The last Cat 1 was almost 150 years ago and hit SD. There have been plenty of others to hit CA, but that doesn't make the exciting news nor would it make this storm seem newsworthy. View Quote I'm sure the computer models haven't considered that at all. No way. Maybe you should call them up and let everyone know? |

View Quote There certainly are some idiots camped out in concrete-lined creeks. I used to report them on the "Get It Done" app, but it's futile. They keep coming back. I say f*** them, and don't care if they and all of their crap get washed into the bay or the ocean. Surf should be biggest on south facing beaches in Orange County. San Diego should get a strong south swell but short period and not easily surfable. |

Will it help the water situation? Also, wasn't the snow pack supposed to help fill some dams?

Surely Newsom and Biden will declare a disaster while in Tahoe this weekend.

Am I in before a bunch of mouth breathing idiots wish death and destruction on our CA members ?
Nope. |

Man, those winds will clean up the streets of SoCal something fierce.

I was planning on buying a sofa tomorrow. Do I need to change my plans ?

Ventusky weather app has it petering out while crossing Baja CA, then tracking towards El Centro & Las Vegas. Landfall typically kills these reliably and this one is no different. LA won't even be windy from this. Media projecting with "We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors".
Trump's fault. |

They kinda suck. I’m gonna be so pissed if we don’t get a good storm out of this. Summer weather is so fucking boring here. After all these years I still miss Spokane weather. |

Latest Euro run (at Tropical Tidbits) has it going pretty much right over San Diego as a 995/extratropical low. Hwrf is a little beefier.

Wish it would lean a little eastward and hit Phoenix head on, we could use the rain.

They'll be as prepared for this as Atlanta would be for 40" of snow.

What a test for the smoker this weekend.
Will it hold temps? Hurricane brisket coming up? Should I put the umbrellas away like I do when Santa Ana blow through? |

Maybe they shouldn’t live in an area that gets hits by hurricanes… isn’t that what they to us??
